Started with Identified 6 months ago in a leadership role within the finance team. Highly motivated, educated group with common goals aimed at solving problems for our customers. Every decision is focused on solving our customer's problems. Office environment is open and communication is free flowing. Office politics are non-existent as team is truly supportive with high energy. Abiliy to create and participate in the development of a company culture and high tech success story is professionally refreshing. Love this place!

You get to say you work with drones although I heard they recently pivoted and killed the hardware segment.

Fired 2 months before equity vested, after launching their product ahead of schedule as the only front end developer.
I quit a high paying job with great benefits to go make nothing at Identified because I thought the work would be interesting and it would be fun to work with a small team. Worst decision of my career.
Although there were a couple really good people there (several of whom I know have already left as well), the organization of the project was a complete mess. No one on the executive team has any SAAS or consumer software experience but they made some robots at cmu and have written some c++ and assume that consumer software is the same. Design was an after thought, and as the sole front end developer, I was in constant tension with the executive team who graded productivity on how many features we could slop out, regardless of quality or having any cohesion with the rest of the product.
Was repeatedly criticized for standing up for basic code quality standards.
I was eventually fired because "i was 5 minutes late to a meeting" which was "unprofessional" even though I called ahead of time to let them know I was stuck in traffic. I received unemployment because I had never received any kind of written notice of any problems and the unemployment office agreed that there was no cause.
The real reasons I was fired were
1) Equity was a substantial part of my compensation and it was about to vest.
2) because every conversation I had with the executive team was me trying to take ownership of the software product because no one else was doing it. The CTO saw this as a threat to his power in the company. The CEO had very little concept of what developers even do on a day to day basis.
The plus to getting fired from there was that I got to switch jobs to a place that respected me and payed me what I was worth ( about %55 more)
So if you want to go work for a 23 yr old kid who thinks he is god because his parents gave him some money to start a company and becuase he got lucky and entered the drone surveillance space at the right time go do it. I'll choose to work with professionals at place where I am respected.
For the record, they sat us down and had a meeting with the other developers and instructed them to write reviews and hinted that anything less than 5 stars would reflect poorly. Take them with a grain of salt.

Great to be at a start up that's taking off

This is the 3rd successful startup I've been involved with. I've never seen a startup get so much momentum so quickly. It's all about having the right team, to offer the right technology, to the right customers at the right time. Everyone gets along well and has each other's backs. Good place to work and grow.
