Even before the pandemic I have had the chance to spend time with one of the owners I can honestly say that the owners really do care about the employees and where the company is going. Co-workers are all willing to help each other. The benefits are, by far, some of the best I have had compared to some of the other "big" corporations. Really the only "con" that I can think of is that the home office doesn't get to see as much of the owners since they moved out of state but despite their distance, they are still very involved with the company and are extremely proactive towards encouraging and engaging and fun culture. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 38192 Open You have all handled this pandemic impeccably and I am extremely proud to work for such gracious and generous people. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 5th, 2021 11:05PM Mar 5th, 2021 11:05PM Incredible Technologies

private:incredibletechnologies https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=38192 Jun 16th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Incredible Technologies Anonymous Chicago, IL Wonderful Company with Loyal Ownership I have worked for this company on and off for nearly 10 years in total. Every employer I've had has always been compared to IT. IT has set the bar so high that it's very hard for other employers to match. The leadership from the top down is dedicated to their employees and the health of the company. For context and an example, this review is written in the midst of a pandemic. During this time every one of our competitors has gone through rounds of layoffs and furloughs. Not IT. The ownership and executive leadership has worked tirelessly to make sure that all employees, all the way down to the hourly employees, has remained employed and paid. There have been no reductions in compensation and benefits. Even when the company was recording zero revenue. This is a testament to how the ownership runs their business and treats their employees. Through the past few growth years the company has added industry professionals with decades of industry knowledge. That said, there have been a number of times where products or strategies have been developed without the input of some of their most versed employees. Or, at very least, by the time the information makes it's way to those employees it's too far in the process to alter the course. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 38192 Open Rely on those that have the knowledge that you lack. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 9.0 Mar 5th, 2021 11:05PM Mar 5th, 2021 11:05PM Incredible Technologies
private:incredibletechnologies https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=38192 Aug 24th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Incredible Technologies Software Engineer Vernon Hills, IL So far so good! I saw a couple of negative reviews so I just wanted to add my two cents. Regarding one of the other negative HR comments, I can honestly say I have never seen a more engaged and present HR team and I have worked for a couple of large corporations who could learn a thing or two from IT's HR department. A lot of company perks. Fruit days, Healthy snack days, random HR hosted trivia with prizes. fun atmosphere, really friendly people. I got to hang out with one of the owners for a couple of days who is really down to earth and you can tell really cares about the employees and the company. Someone had mentioned in another review regarding training. This could be completely subjective I guess it would depend on your department. I, personally, had adequate training. If I have any questions there are several people who are more than willing to sit down with me if I get stuck. As far as the "back stabbing" culture, I have yet to see anything like that. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Addressing one comment one person made about "nobody plays their games", I disagree. My wife and I were a huge fan of ITs games long before I started and every time I go to the casino, I always see people on IT games. While I haven't been here long enough to identify all the "cons", I would say no company is "perfect". In my opinion, I think the biggest con is that the company is split between two offices so we don't get to see the owners as much. Not a deal breaker, I just like a little more visibility in my executive teams, but that's just me. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 38192 Open Just be more visible. We appreciate all of the positives you’ve cited, we work diligently to focus on employee recognition and engagement, so those notes mean a lot to us. As a former employee, we are sorry to hear you had an unfortunate experience with IT. Please know that we are continuously working to improve our training and on-boarding processes within departments as well as within our leadership team so we can best address the needs of our employees. To this end, we regularly seek input from both new and current employees regarding on-boarding, training and general feedback. It is critical to us that everyone has an opportunity to discuss what may or may not be working for them at IT. Once we receive feedback, we discuss it with our management team so they are made aware of the potential shortcomings and can work to find ways to roll out improvements. We appreciate your advice to our management team; responsibility certainly falls on managers to clearly communicate their expectations to their employees which is why IT’s HR team continuously delivers that same message to our leadership team. HR meets with department managers regularly and we make it a point to discuss the importance of communication and setting performance expectations for their teams. Policies made on the whim of a higher-up. CEO wanted open office, so they made an open office, regardless of how terrible it is for the employees. Needed to concentrate to do my job. Impossible. Open office was to "encourage communication in a studio". Then VP chastises development for talking too much. VP makes game design changes and art changes at will. Then criticizes project takes too long. Creativity strangled as VP turns to cookie cutter, assembly line approach. If you don't toe a line that you don't even know about, you are let go. There is zero job security. Salary ok, bonuses subjective, tho say they are royalty based. Royalty formula is never shown, so can be adjusted as desired to get desired amount, AFAIK. Little room for advancement. Pigeonholed into job. Specialized to the point that finding new job is nightmare. Non-compete wipes out only jobs could reasonably get. Supposed to be cooperation btwn studios, but several are militant not wanting to share ideas unless you ask n get permission. IP strategically not company owned, if desired by the favorites. Our open office environment is rooted in IT’s culture; we believe it has positive impact on workplace productivity while giving our employees the chance to easily collaborate. Though we recognize there are pros and cons to every individual, we pride ourselves on employee engagement and the direct correlation it has to increased and improved work product!
