Great Entry Level Job for Recent College Graduate
You know exactly what's expected of you day in and day out and that makes the job easy to do. Great benefits are provided as well.
Expect to do lots of manual labor from loading and clearing dishwashers, wiping down counters, setting up food and beverage every morning and throughout the day and prepping ingredients. There are very few advancement opportunities for Mx'A's as opposed to their managers who get stock options, a yearly company wide retreat, and access to pilot programs such as the MBA program (not actually an education program but one that teaches you MBA related skills).

Provide more avenues for MxA's as they are often doing more work than their managers themselves.

Great job, but not long term
The company really cares about their employees - good pay, unlimited PTO, good benefits, summer Friday's, etc. There is a lot of autonomy in this role and you get to wear a lot of different hats, making no one day the same.
There is essentially no growth path. They have been intentional about adding more training opportunities so that you can add to your resume and skill set, but if you feel ready for the next "step", it feels like you have to leave the company.

Not what it’s advertised as
* really enjoyed the unlimited PTO and summer Fridays.
*got to meet interesting members
*only would work here as an MxM, as the work experience is catered to them.
* when I got hired into this position the management never specified the amount of cleaning that would need to be done, and how limited you are when it comes to making the space your own.
* Felt like an underpaid maid and food assembler.
*management is extremely toxic and condescending to MxA’s. Most locations have 1 MxA and 1MxM, so if you’re unlucky to be paired with a bad MxM then your experience will be bad.
* Giving Feedback to upper management was looked down on and extremely hard to do due to the nature of the relationship. Higher management never oversaw the MxM’s performance and would always defend when issues arouse.
* the pay discrepancies between MxM and MxA are massive. MxA’s do all the labor intensive work, while MxM’s hide and take meetings and gossip.
* the company allows and supports MxM behavior and even allows them to use credit cards for personal uses.
* Company pushed current employees to report their experiences with Industrious on this platform, so I would take all of these current employee reviews with a grain of salt.

Treat the MxAs with respect and value the work they put in.
Do intensive and unbiased reviews onto MxM management, or else you will continue to see a high turnover rate.

Great work place!
Great benefits, flexibility (flexible pto), quarterly bonuses, great work environment.
no growth without following the pyramid scheme (levels 1,2,3 etc). lack of leadership training. Not a lot of diversity. There can be favoritism.

Really fun but lots of layoffs
Cool coworkers, spaces are beautiful. I really enjoyed working there and had no negative experiences!
There were layoffs before I joined and then as I worked there 2 managers were fired and then more layoffs. Scary! I ended up quitting for a full-time position elsewhere.

Not as advertised
The one pro this job has are the connections you can make. The coworkers you work with can end up being really great friends and there’s also great opportunity to network. The food and PTO benefits were sometimes a nice added perk.
When I first started with Industrious I really enjoyed working for the company. However, within a few months, that quickly changed. I realized that the management was quite toxic. They never listened to issues/concerns that were brought to them and were also very cliquey. Multiple coworkers, and even myself, were belittled when we tried to speak up for ourselves and for others with serious workplace issues. Even HR seemed to always side with management and would never listen to both sides.
The job descriptions for these positions are also definitely misleading. If you’re a Member Experience Associate, expect to stay cleaning the whole place all day and preparing snacks like you’re running a daycare. Picture yourself constantly dealing with dirty dishes, scrubbing walls with a magic eraser and having people feening for food while you’re trying to set out a tabletop charcuterie in 30 minutes.
If you’re a Member Experience Manager, there is little to no growth after this position. So if you’re looking to work at a company with various career growth opportunities this is not the place. You will also most likely be working 10+ hour work days. Additionally, expect to be IT, maintenance and a custodian for this position.

To have management and HR properly trained. I saw SO much turnover while I worked at Industrious due to improper management which clearly shows that something is wrong. Additionally, you need to have realistic job expectations for the little amount of pay that is given.

Salary well below market rates
Lots of holidays, generally nice people and atmosphere
Without competitive pay rates none of the above matters. They aren’t even keeping up with cost of living adjustments over the last few years. Very clicky - if you don’t fit their specific personality type you won’t find more opportunities here, if you do, probably great.
