Pro: Great work culture. A dream job for social butterflies that loves to be hands on in operations.
Con: No room for growth. Sense of "working towards a cause" diminished greatly as company resistracted all employees from participating in meetings: No raise in almost 3 years of working there.

fun workplace, underpaid and not smart co-workers. management does not care about employees only revenue and they are going to end up like WEwork because they overspend on dumb stuff, but not the right stuff.

Great people. chaotic leadership team
|
The people at Industrious are great to work with. People who are smart and don't take themselves too seriously. However, the leadership team is in a constant state of jockeying for position, constantly changing the focus of the company and generally lacking to provide strategic guidance. This leads to a lack of accountability and a chaotic work environment.

Great people, alright job
|
Pros:
- Fun co workers
- Great culture
- Unlimited PTO
- I personally loved my members and team (but this is case by case)
- 9 to 5 schedule
- Pay
- Do a lot of fun employee engagement events/activities
Cons:
- Constant change that doesn’t always seem to have great reasoning
- Teams are spread out so you don’t get to work in person with a lot of people
- Managers are oftentimes stretched so thin there isn’t a lot of time for development
- Multiple rounds of layoffs (and didn’t do much to try to move people to other depts when they had jobs posted)
- High turnover
- Company overall feels shambly and chaotic.

Shifting Focus; Profit over Comapny Culture
|
Pros: Amazing teammates, flexible PTO, and there's always an opportunity to express yourself. Working with several other companies within the space provides opportunities to make friends, business partners, or even (inevitable) future employers.
Cons: High expectations of each individual, with a "figure it out" culture from management. Significant, heartbreaking amounts of layoffs in past year with no warning (2022), where it seems like company is "reorganizing" every quarter or so. This made it very difficult to trust leadership at all.
Onboarding, and training is hardly existent, where new hires are not set up for success--they're expected to "hit the ground running". Extremely difficult to move up where in the rare case internal promotions do happen it is mostly popular individuals whom peers would not have chose themselves- which is extremely discouraging. Once promoted, many individuals adopt a "never knew you" attitude with former peers, where management discourages cross functional communications unless it is "goal driven".
Company has completely abandoned culture, going so far as to remove exclusive social platforms that connected us nationally. The focus now is sales only. If you are not helping the company make a profit, or contributing in some way to this goal, you're more than likely not acknowledged. This unintentionally influences a culture of which employees are "more valuable".
When I had first started here, I never felt so welcomed, and appreciated by any company-- even family. Bonds, and friendships poured into my personal life, and it was so rewarding. Years went by, and now this culture, opportunities to connect, is nowhere to be found. The company is silently aware as they force "regional picnics" with hardly any budget to execute. These "gatherings" are left to one or two individuals to organize on top of their daily duties, and they end up not being very fun at all.
Unfortunately, I would no longer recommend anyone working here. This company is just the same as its competitors now, in my opinion.
Advice to Management: Unless the goal is to create an all "all-new generation" of staff, it doesn't seem wise to lay off the most tenured employees nationally.
