Very supportive teammates. Not scared to tackle difficult challenges. Ran out of funds and have not been able to secure enough to keep the staff paid. Execs really should have spent more time in down stream communication about the situation rather than rely on the CEO for this. "Operations" are critical when a company is in trouble. The financial bleeding has to stop before a company can recover. If you do - run away! All existing employees are on sort of retention, company pays really well on paper (when they have money in the bank ha-ha-ha!). So, if you are an engineer, or actually anyone who likes to explore and learn new and exciting technologies just laying around you on your own, then great! You’ll have a lot of free time for that. Maybe if the company will go up - it will be very useful. Company repeatedly does not make a payroll since mid 2017. Sometimes even for a couple month, then everyone gets paid. But it’s a lottery. If company will actually to down and be abandoned by owners and investors - employees will likely get nothing for time spent here doing nothing. So if you are living paycheck to paycheck - run away as fast as you can. But if you happy to have financial stability without a job for a half of a year of so - keep calm and carry on. The scale of what could be with this tech is massive! It has the potential to time the market very well..BUT.. Business team and CEO are completely incompetent. CEO is the lead investor but knows nothing about the company. He speaks only in the highest level platitudes, makes promises regarding funding that he can’t even possibly believe, then goes weeks without any communication to the team as payroll after payroll is missed, only to send notes that are chocked full of smug combat movies references that are incredibly insulting to the team’s intelligence not to mention the combat veterans that work here. The newly appointed “chief commercial officer” (the CEOs buddy) has no idea what this company does as evidenced by the latest press release for “platform as a service”. He’s closed off to any feedback and is never in the office. As a matter of fact, he believes we can close our office space because we can put the data center in the cloud. Well - our data center is already in the cloud which he would know if he talked to anyone and..it turns out a technology company needs office space especially a lab!! He believes the entire engineering team is irrelevant and can be let go without missing a beat. Pretty bold claim in regards to a.. TECHNOLOGY COMPANY! But on the other hand, if you’re trying to get a C-level executive (like our new “CCO”) to come into a situation of significant personal liability for payrolls missed, you’re likely going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel. So no surprises here. The fact of the matter is that the company is in control of our board which represents a single interest (Third Wave Ventures). They have the unfortunate combination of a) clearly having no access to capital b) no understanding of the business and c) delusional enough to not turn this company over to folks that can fundraiser and manage. Props to the engineering team for developing a best in class technology. Ingenu has a long history of terrible business decisions, lackluster boards and substandard investors. Basically a comedy of errors that has landed the company in a situation where the most recent payroll was 8 weeks late and no foreseeable payroll in the future. Latest news release is Ingenu is focusing on PaaS. Ingenu can't make payroll but is able to deliver an IoT platform to compete against the likes of Cisco and Amazon. The stupidity of the Ingenu business team has exceeded all expectations. Actually spending anytime with the new "Chief Commercial Officer" explains a lot. Now just keeping enough of the engineering team together to keep RPMA viable is looking unlikely. The payments almost always arrive much later than we're promised. b) Overall, we are given lie after lie by senior management. For instance, just the repeated promise of having an all hands meeting to discuss the strategy of the company has never come to pass. But beyond that, they are promising a huge upside when they can't even meet payroll. If they believe in such a huge upside why won't they (the investors and leadership) commit more money? Seems like they are just using us for their own business schemes of not losing face with their other investments. c) No meaningful information is ever shared by senior management except empty promises.
