A lot of room to learn and grow into different positions in the company. The concept is also great. Lots of value add within the vertical spaces that are the historical background of the company. Board is dysfunctional, changing directions and watering down the organizational focus to too many different offerings in order to try and "win" across a lot of different markets. Immediately given roles in leading and delivering, and don't spend months just shadowing and doing grunt work - relaxed office atmosphere and flexible working - good international travel to clients - interesting projects - from cutting edge science to working with charities on major global issues. - work structure and project delivery becomes very repetitive following near identical plans for each Challenge and overall project. Flexible schedule is the only pro and some of the people who are really smart. Salary is good especially for those who have been asked to stay on to avoid having the ship completely sink to the bottom. Absolutely zero leadership. InnoCentive has had a remote CEO since 2006 and it shows. There's no vision or strategy for the future of the company. The course of the company is determined by gut feeling, opinions from poor performers who are sucking the power teet, rather than by hard market or customer data. Products and services are sub-par at best. And the entire partner ecosystem is null and void. For a company centered on innovation they are slow, inflexible and haven't innovated themselves in over a decade. Innocentive has roots in engineering and science, and though the market has moved away from them they have not been able to keep up. Incredibly smart employees but the company can't seem to keep them. Lacks stability. Poor benefits and compensation. No room for career growth or increased compensation.
