Get to work with great clients and employees. Get to work with great products. Fun to be apart of development of a home or business. Offers average benefits and 401k. Unorganized and scheduling hinders oneself from progressing in the company. Lack of direction and expectation with jobs leaves you to the point of constantly being innovative to meet clients need. Training and opportunities to develop as a tech and programmer lack here. Communication: Weekly individual meetings with techs, programmers and service techs, should help everyone stay on the same page. Training: someone needs to focus on individual development here. Warehouse: the system at the warehouse is un-proficient. Lack of supplies, clients items mixed up, lack of organization, no real system or designated areas for supplies. Coordination: with simple meetings to jobs. Notice a real opportunity with scheduling with clients and colleagues. I agree with some of your points here. The warehouse has been an issue which will soon be fixed. Scheduling and coordination is always a challenge in our business but you'll find we handle it much better than most. We're far too small to have a HR department but I think the benefits companies we use do a great job.\r\n\r\nI'm not sure how you can say there is a lack of opportunities to advance though. This is an organization where every employee in a senior position, including all location managers, advanced there from the technician level. We have an advancement plan in place that allows a brand new employee with no industry experience to advance to team lead and the top of the technician pay scale in as little as two years. I've worked for Innovative Sight & Sound for right at 5 years now and have worked my way up from technician to store/sales manager. We've also gone from a single store to a 3 location operation and continue to grow. The work is fun and rewarding and with the constant changes in technology you get to learn something new everyday. All learning is hands on and you are able to progress at your own pace so the more you push yourself and the more you learn the quicker you can move up. Great benefits including health, vision, dental, and 401k options. My time at Innovative Sight & Sound was some of the most challenging but gratifying of my career. The team at ISS is a very closely knit unit. While the hours were sometimes tough, the work environment couldn't have been any better. Management was always very clear about their expectations. And while they the bar was set very high, it was an environment in which hard work was rewarded. Not a great environment for non-starters or slow movers. Innovative Sight & Sound has been the best company to be apart of. Great Benefits, Hands on training, very competitive pay rates and the people are just great! The culture is relaxed while there is a major feeling of being part of a team. Expectations and goals are high but the support is present to help all employees achieve their goals. Managment wants to help their teams succeed and with the company growing strong, there is always room to advance. The guys that work at Innovative are the best at what they do and will form you into the best AV technician you can be. I have been with Innovative for over 5 years now and can honestly say there is nothing to complain about.
