Poor management but good working environment

The working environment is good.
If you go through the product catalogue on their website, you will know that this company won't have a good prospect.
It was a good company, but its business becomes worse.
They have extremely bad management that they employed new staff but lay her off after a few months because the project stopped. They don't have planning on human resource and business development.

There is no oppertunities for female career advancement. Women tend to stay at mid management level and because of their own bitterness at this they bully their junior counterparts. Worst two years of my working life, and I should have taken them to litigation. Admin team specifically has severe issues with keeping it's staff because of this.

Good company, especially if you're in R&D
|
ITL is grown massively in the last few years, have recruited lots of new people and are launching several new products. This has made the work exciting, whilst also very challenging.
They offer a good range of benefits and although they're in Oldham it's pretty easy to access, even in rush hours. The flexible working is a appreciated benefit.
Pros
Growing quickly, lots of new roles, people tend to stay for a long time, friendly teams, good benefits, good facilities, flexible working, paid breaks, lots of students and graduate roles, social event, free parking, easier to get to than city centre
Cons
Not much! Company is growing quickly so changing all the time and some may think the location isn't ideal

Do not be fooled!

What should be understood is that the US office is not anything like they portray themselves as. They pose as a world class company because they are part of an international company. They are nothing like their parent company. The US office is deceptive in their attempts to attract employees, a good example is their description of any job position is vague and reads like a bad infomercial, but wait there's more!
Breaks are non existent, if you dare take one they chastise you with snide comments because supposedly management NEVER takes breaks why should you.
If you do take a personal day you will be held accountable and criticized for having a life. This is frustrating because full time management works part time, never in on fridays and often supposedly works from home. If you have issues management will ignore and avoid you until they must deal with work issues then management will blame you or anyone they can for the issues including past employees.
If you ask for vacation management will play dumb and say it was just suggested that your vacation was offered, what it really meant is you have to wait for another year. Other employees who managed to force a vacation through threatening legal action were then treated poorly when they returned.
If you "challenge the status quo" as they ask you to, in there job requirements, in the office you will be labeled as "negative" .
Working in the US office is like walking on thin ice you must appease the management with brown-nosing and complete compliance or you are "negative".

No breaks, unbelievably poor management, must experience to realize how bad it is.

Sounds like a great place to work doesn't it? Well its still a underpaying Sh**hole in the middle of oldham.
They once asked me to send some product to a Client knowing it was not working as a delay tactic. They really are cowboys.
Managers there had it easy walking around telling Everyone they were lazy. I agree with the other comments regarding mobile phones. Get a life. NO wonder you struggle to recruit.

Unprofessional

Very unprofessional company to have work for. They make you work with minimum traning. Expect you to know the job within 1 week and just come down on you like a ton of bricks if anything goes wrong.
Management is so unprofessional, no job security at all. They have certain rule for management and then for normal employees. For example they claim for DPA you cannot have you phone on you but so call mangers have their phone out texting away their family and friends.
Very Unprofessional.
