Had one employee that was going behind my back and making me look really bad till I found out, but by then damage was done. Screamed at me in front of patients, patients went to doctors about it, but she was able to keep her job. The same employee wanted me to go outside and fight her I mean how old are you! Still she had her job. The male doctor was excellent as for the female doctor she was ok, but because of that employee it put a wedge there and I did not make anymore mistakes or do anything that any one else did, again that one employee marked me and there was no changing it. The female doctor just was not going See that, in turn made my life there hard and made me look stupid. Anyway I did like working there other then that. Again the male doctor was great very understanding, helpful, kind. The management is very relaxed and accommodating for students. The job is engaging and requires a good amount of effort and dedication, since job responsibilities range from prepping patients to filing insurance claims to repairing medical devices. I then would choose what Dr. I was working for that day. I would perform the pre exams and then prepare the Dr's room for his exams. I did all the testing for glaucoma patients by performing visual fields. I also performed MAC OCT and ONH test for post cataract patients. I worked with a group of Technicians that were easy to get along with and worked well as a team. I enjoyed every patient that I would see and got to know most of them well from talking with them and listening to them every year they came back. The hardest part of my job was watching the looks on some of the patients faces when they were given bad news. This is a super fun place to work. The patients are a little more eccentric which is very fun. The boutique style eyewear is beautiful. My main issue with Insight is the atmosphere among staff. A lot of gossiping, cliquey-ness, etc. There are also some staff who rotate Saturdays, some who never work Saturdays, and some who have to work every Saturday, even if they are all full time.
