Good commission potential for insurance sales
If you work hard and like to sell you can make some really good money here. There are a lot of people who like to work hard and play hard, good environment to be in.
Management tends to make changes very quickly since it is a fast growing company. It’s not necessarily a bad thing because they take feedback and are always willing to try new things, But it can be hard to keep up with all the changes.

Every opportunity to succeed and grow. High risk with a smaller company, but big potential rewards.
You can decide your own destiny. Jeff and Matt truly care about people. They will nurture and guide you if you are willing give your all. You will learn so much. You get paid to earn your masters degree in the insurtech/fintech industry directly from the CEO/COO.
Smaller company and sometime hard decisions needed to be made. However, almost every person that has worked under Jeff has moved on to bigger roles either internally or at other companies.

Lost Cause
The few pros of the company that were there have mostly faded with the firing of the previous manager. Some things still left are flexibility and no micromanaging.
There are a lot of cons now with recent changes in management. No morale or morale boosting activities at all anymore. Major toxic environment in between departments. People yelling at each other on the floor in front of management without any repricussions. Fraudulent policies being written by top sales agents. No organization of work. Inexperienced employees being promoted to executive positions. Misogyny and unequal opportunities for women. Agents not following basic procedures and rules on a daily basis. Inaccessible management staff. No clear roles for any of the executives. Closed door policies; executive suits are closed under the guise of pet friendly work environment. The dogs get more attention than employees. Management not leaving their offices to check up on how things are going. Unfair shifting of workload onto employees who are supposed to be "attached at the hip." Clearly one manager does more than the other. While one stays in his office and seems to not care at all about any of us while the other has no past experience in his position leaving most of the managing up to HR. No team building skills or workshops. No training procedures set in place for certain departments. Employees with no training expected to adjust quickly after being shuffled around from department to department. Management keeps their focus on sales and service department is an afterthought with double the amount of work and less than 3 times the amount of staff than sales.

Management needs to get it together. Take some training or classes and learn what a manager and a good leader should be. Executives perceived as entitled and privileged; gives off the vibe that he is better than everyone else. Very, very misogynist and toxic work environment. Men taking the ideas presented to them by women and rebranding them as their own a week or two later. No woman executives in the office or being considered for higher up positions. Female employees being told they were doing too well at their job so they were removed from their positions and placed elsewhere. Management keeps closed door policies, unfriendly vibes, and overall disappointment. Address major issues when you are presented with them rather than brushing everything under the rug or expecting someone else to clean up the mess. This company was a pleasure to work for with the previous manager. Everything has severely gone downhill since her departure. The direction of the company is now unclear and while employees were previously given the top 3 most important goals moving forward one of those top 3 departments was closed down and expected to fix the issues of another department for less pay. No incentive to work here anymore and no positive changes within sight.

If you can sell insurance, you will do very well for yourself
If you can sell insurance, there is a lot of money to be made, you can easily double your guaranteed salary if you sell above the set goal. If you don't hit goal, you will still get a livable paycheck twice a month. If you consistently do not hit goal and you are a good employee, they will try to find a new role for you before walking you to the door.
Management will almost always grant time off, even last minute.
The owners dog puts a smile on your face.
There does not seem to be a lot of room for growth within the company. Many people get promoted to new positions and end up back in their old roles quickly. Also, performance is not valued as much as likability. If the owner likes you, you have a better chance of getting promoted, even if you are not selling as much or all of your co-workers think you are a terrible employee.
The employees who have been here the longest can get away with murder. The newer employees must adhere to very strict guidelines while watching the older employees doing half the work and getting twice the recognition.
Health benefits are terrible, overpriced, and do not offer great coverage. There is no employer matched 401k. No annual bonus feels terrible also. You won't feel like a valued employee as much as other small business I have worked for.
The suite is also filthy. The sink is always clogged, the carpet and walls are stained, almost 1/3 of the overhead lights don't work, there are holes in the walls, the time zone clocks in the reception area have had dead batteries for over two years, there is clutter all over the place... in short, they don't take care of the office space making it somewhat depressing to work here.
And the office chairs are terrible.

Create more rules that everyone has to follow and don't make exceptions just because someone has been there forever or they sell more than someone else.
Stop referring to your employees as 'The Platform', it makes me feel like a tool, not a valued employee.
Make the work environment more attractive.
Better chairs to sit in for 8 hours a day.
