Horrible place to work
|
Owners of the company are 'Christian's' but are some of the worst people you'll ever meet or work for. Management can do and say whatever they please. This is a job you have until you find another job, a last resort, you could not advance here. No support, barely any room to work, computers are sitting on picnic tables, the companies they are data entering for are phonies also....just an all together horrible place. It will bring out the worst in you!

A typical day at work is coming in, logging into your computer and verifying tax documentation all shift. Limited bathroom breaks are provided, and a certain amount of documents per hour must be met, otherwise you are reviewed weekly and talked to about speeding up. Not a place to work if you get tired easily or bored with repetitiveness. But for those who enjoy sitting, it is a decent place to work.

My honest opinion, I learned the in's and out's of business at IDS only true problem I experienced was lack of compensation. I received my correct pay very few times unfortunately. IDS's actions caused me to quit. I do not want to experience this ever again.

I was promised raises that I never got. The communication is poor. The management and work culture isn't great. There is no type of organization. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the owners of the company, because they did not want to hear the opinions of their employees. One boss thought we were soldiers preparing for war. I mean I get the concept, being in the military myself, but it was a bit too much. They lie. They contradict their words a lot.

A typical work day had many unexpected challenges. My job consisted of managing both human and other resources. I also helped program and maintain proprietary software for my department. I learned to manage domestic and overseas resources. I created a balance using all of the staff's strengths to create a strong, united department. I left on great terms with the company and my coworkers felt I was fair and just in my management style. They felt empowered by their ability to participate in making our job employee friendly and facilitating in the applications' ease of use. The hardest part of my job was coming up with solutions that made everyone happy. This was also the most enjoyable part because it kept me grounded and connected to the needs of all employees in my department.
