I continued to learn something new daily whether it was work related or personal. My direct manager was very helpful and understanding of any situation. All co-workers would help each other to meet the overall business goals. The hardest part was the changing schedule. It did not fully work for my family. The company helped to the best of their ability to accommodate my specific needs. It's not an easy job, but is very fulfilling to assist patients. It is a fast paced environment, requiring a customer service oriented personality to be successful. The opportunity to work from home is a great benefit to most. They promote a work/life balance, while also demanding accountability. There are opportunities to learn new things each day and for those with the desire and drive, opportunities to take on new/different responsibilities. The company is diverse- very inclusive of folks without regard to our differences. (All ages, races, LGBTQ status, socioeconomic classes, etc) This is a great place to work- even on the hardest days- and they have found a way to ensure that most employees are compatible. I have worked on many temporary projects for SironaHealth. The management and co-workers were always friendly,supportive and knowledgeable. They always kept the staff informed of the campaign success and gave us opportunity to share feedback. I feel like there is always opportunity for advancement within the company. Temporary employees are treated fairly as if we are part of the permanent staff. I've applied again and can't wait to start another project with the team!!! I really didn't learn anything and management didn't care about it's employees. The only good thing was that met some fine co-workers who I am still in touch with. Work from home, great nurses and staff! The work isn't easy, just because it is at home, but it is so nice to work in jammies and get up 30 minutes before you have to clock in. I'm home with my family so much now, it's awsome. Typical day is sharing your knowledge with a patient. It's nice to share with those who appreciate what you have to offer. Sirona supplies the nurses with computers and software that makes triaging patients spot on. It's a stressful job, in that I do have to multi-task and be up to date on knowledge. I maybe juggling paging a doctor while calming a frantic mom and charting all at the same time..sounds familiar doesn't it? :) There is no one specialty! I'm a pedi nurse by nature, always have been, but in the 2 months I have worked here I have LEARNED SO MUCH! Do not be afraid to lose skills, it's not like that. You talk to so many, and learn something knew daily! I was afraid I'd lose my skills but no more. I may not be the best IV nurse (most places use teams where I worked anyway, so even tho i was a charge nurse, it wasn't my best skill to begin with) but I learn so much that I am already a more well rounded nurse then when I started! The management team is great, all employees are so helpful and no back biting (which is new for me, as its fair game at most work places) I can not stress how wonderful your co-workers are. We IM each other nonstop and chat when we have down time. The 2 weeks I spent in Maine were wonderful during my training and they treated us like royalty. Pay is ok, you are not going to make what you made in the hospital, but deduct wear and tear on you and your car commuting, and the fact your not sitting in traffic 2 hours a day, plus meals, and uniforms and general STRESS...it was a decision I'm happy with. You can always pick up extra hours if you need extra cash. I did take a 40% pay cut (remember I was a charge nurse with 20 yrs exp, for some it may not be a pay cut at all, and pedi hospitals usually pay the most). They have nice benefits. Many of the nurses are new moms or older nurses that are looking to slow things down a bit physically. I hope this is my LAST job! I can see me being here the next 15 yrs till retirement! Maybe even longer :) working in your pajama's, i haven't driven my car in 10 days, everyone is so nice, 2 15 minute breaks and 30 min lunch in 8 hour shift rocks lower pay then hospitals, but they offer incentive bonus for picking up needs usually btw 10-25 addtl per hour, sometime's you miss coworkers in person 48.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 05:33AM Mar 20th, 2021 06:21PM IntelliCare
