John Common (CEO) is the real deal. He's passionate about the work, the success of his clients, but, most of all, about his people's success. Recognition and celebrating "wins" with the entire agency is part of the company culture. He's not afraid to hire brilliant people, and that's a pretty rare thing in this business. The culture is supportive and caring to a fault. I've been shocked to discover the length that some will go around here to help out their fellow workmates. Not for recognition but to help get the job done. ID is a tight-knit group that is motivated around the idea of building something great, and in my 25 years in advertising, I've never seen anything like it. I plan on working here for as long as they'll have me. It's a busy shop and given the level of professionalism of the IDers, there's no place to hide. Get ready to work because this place is changing every day due to the rapid growth of the agency. It's not for everyone to juggle so much responsibility but for those that can handle the challenge, it's pretty damn rewarding. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 5.0 1279681 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Mar 8th, 2021 08:06PM Mar 8th, 2021 08:06PM Intelligent Demand

The reviews show troubles with the client services team. (I'm in a different department) I haven't personally experienced any negativity or condescending vibes from them. Agency that actually cares about work/life balance. -Ready to grow responsibly, but gearing up for that has meant a lot of strict processes and procedures. -If you're not ready to drive results in a mostly B2B, demand-gen environment, this is not the place for you. -Adherence to procedure can sometimes stifle new ideas. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 1279681 Open Keep using core values to guide business decisions. private:intelligentdemand https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1279681 Nov 19th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Intelligent Demand Account Manager Denver, CO Soul crushing experience - John Common's motivational speeches - Izzy the office dog - Something to round out a third bullet point If you read the other reviews you'll pick up on basic themes of incivility and rudeness. I can attest this was my experience at ID. It is a very stressful, demeaning, and thankless place to work. Don't be fooled by the seeded reviews from ID management. ID's main problem emanates from one very toxic individual who uses their position to manipulate and isolate employees. Account directors (who are equally destructive) act as a proxy for this person to divide and create unrest within the client services team. John Common (CEO) LOVES to pontificate on the subject of equipping employees with self-efficacy. Back in reality, his leadership team practices the opposite. Smart, talented employees are obstructed and blocked at every turn. Intelligent Demand shells out money for behavior assessment tools, team dynamic sessions, etc., which cost thousands of dollars. The result: an average 6-month turnover rate of +15%. It's time to recognize the real problem. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 17.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1279681 Open John: Get rid of the person who has been so detrimental to ID's reputation. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "CEO", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1134872, "responseDateTime": "2017-01-19T11:37:01.617", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thanks for sharing your thoughts.", "responseOriginal": null, "countNotHelpful": 0}] REGULAR No No 1.0 Mar 8th, 2021 08:06PM Mar 8th, 2021 08:06PM Intelligent Demand
private:intelligentdemand https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1279681 Nov 1st, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Intelligent Demand Denver, CO Talk is cheap Intelligent Demand hires some incredibly smart and talented people. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about modern marketing and had the chance to work on some well-known enterprise clients. There is great camaraderie with the exception of one clique in particular. You get to travel to some interesting cities and attend interesting conferences. John Common is an inspirational leader, which is apparent from the first time you meet him while interviewing to the last communication you have with him upon your departure. Never before have I worked somewhere that an entire team was routinely put down, belittled, second guessed and diminished the way the account team is at ID. I asked all the right questions in my interviews about what it was like to work at ID, the management style, work/life balance, etc. I feel that I was grossly misled through the entirety of the interview process. Several weeks into the job at ID I realized my grave mistake in resigning from my previous company to join the ranks of yet another churn-and-burn agency where the mentality is 'everyone is replaceable'. Take a look at the amount of turnover you have in client services and you'll see the real picture, if you choose to admit the problem. You can only use "not a good fit" and "not willing to work hard" so many times, especially when your employees move on to be successful and thrive in similar roles elsewhere. At some point you have to look internally to the single source of discontent. It is absolutely unnecessary to have such micromanagement over seasoned industry veterans. I have never had a manager red line my communications before or since. Valuable time is wasted while drafts of emails await approval as important client documents (estimates, monthly retainer statements) sit untouched for far longer than they should. As Steve Jobs said “it doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do." If you are going to hold account managers to revenue goals, you should have a plan in place to reward success. This is also an important topic that should be covered in the interview process. If you are not on the inside of the clique at ID, you are purposely made to very much feel left out. There are constant IM exchanges which lead to outbursts of laughter. You never know whether they are laughing with you or at you. It's not appropriate for the workplace. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 9.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1279681 Open You talk a really good game. Back that up with action.
