Truly an inspiring place to be

Not only do I love working for a company that creates positive impact in the healthcare community, but they go above and beyond to take care of employees. Every job is what you make it - but IMO really puts the icing on the cake.
Benefits are great (amazing 401K matching, gym reimbursement, work from home options, low cost healthcare with vast coverage, good faith time off policy - the list goes on) and salary is competitive. In fact - the level of transparency is an added bonus as HR will provide you a pay scale for your experience and expertise of field without ever capping you at a maximum on the scale.
The executive team has gone through a whirlwind of changes, but for the better. Our leadership team is thoughtful and incredibly smart - driving success for the business even in the midst of a pandemic and taking care of employees. This is the first company I have worked for that has made diversity and inclusion a priority (we celebrate Juneteenth as an official holiday!) and continues to promote women, people of color, LGBTQ+, etc.
As far as culture goes - this might be as good as it gets for me. I look forward to getting back to a world where I can go to a happy hour or team outing with my coworkers - but while we have been in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, IMO has made it a priority to create a sense of togetherness for teams even if they aren't with each other in an office setting.
My management team (and peers) not only have my back, but push me to work at the top of my license. I am constantly given new opportunities to expand my role and the mentorship to help me navigate the career path that I desire - along with the tools to succeed.
It is rare that a company not only takes the pulse of it's employees seriously and works with them to adapt to ongoing life changes and needs - but also drives company success, too. I'm truly excited for the years to come.

Extremely Disappointed in New Management

I worked for Intelligent Medical Objects for over 10 years. With previous management, the company was great to work for. Management was involved in the employee culture and product education. fair salaries, great teamwork between teams, product innovation competitions, comfortable work environment etc. Management encouraged health, exercise, eating right, expanding employee interests. Was also very open to employee suggestions.

After original management left, new management made changes, which is common, but the company and staff suffered for it. Loads of problems with product software releases, unhappy customers. Management changed proceesses without anticipating what the effects would be and did not care to hear the consequences. Was very obvious it also practiced ageism.

-Work/life balance is a priority - we recently adopted a good faith (unlimited) time off policy, and management encourages us to take time whenever we need it.
-COVID-19 response - our leadership has been transparent about the measures they are taking to handle the pandemic. They are making investments in our people and our sites to ensure that employees are supported at home and comfortable if they choose to go into the office.
-Focus on culture - there are several groups focused on diversity and inclusion and workplace culture. Everyone is encouraged to get involved in developing the culture we want to see at IMO.
-Direction - we are growing, FAST! It is fun to be a part of an organization that is adding top talent and embracing new ways of thinking. I know the work I do makes a substantial contribution.
-People - our team is collaborative, responsive, and accountable. I am lucky to work with the brilliant people at IMO every day.
-Offices in Rosemont and a new downtown office with stellar ergonomic equipment.
