private:intelliteach-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=465554 Feb 23rd, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Intelliteach Bilingual Technical Support Analyst Toronto, ON OK as a starter/stepping stone but don't expect growth Good Benefits Flexible hours Dedicated Team in downtown Toronto-very nice office (Global Law Firm) Nice and polite coworkers and Managers and very friendly HR Since most of the staff are in the US, other than 1 local Team lead who leaves at 4pm, most communication is done through chat=no opportunity for micromanagement which is nice if you are on the evening shift Internal Trainers and Facilities staff are very nice *low pay *phone extensions are on US-based system so you could be sitting beside someone in the Canadian office who can call you and it will be considered long distance because of the ATL, Georgia area code, end- users can't contact help-desk directly via extension like other companies causing many frustrations *email signatures also specify MO and ATL offices so internal clients know they are dealing with an outsourced party which is often the cause of low morale and it causes confusion and frustration when end-users try to contact you directly to resolve issues or for follow-up *computer systems helpdesk is on is also Win 10 and different that the systems internal clients use (Win 7 when I worked there) and it sometimes causes issues with compatibility/navigation *for that same reasons client GPOS do not apply to your system and you cannot access internal sites on your machine which makes it difficult to do your job or complete your required internal training-I had to use the local trainer's machine and basically sign-off on incomplete training due to time constraints and known issues *HR is in the US and aren't always familiar with our addresses or Canadian HR policies-I was told wrong address when I originally interviewed causing me to be late ( I still got hired but it was a huge hassle) *no room for growth-very high turnover *internal clients (other than Facilities and Trainers) do not respect you and when you complain about how you are treated it goes nowhere because the client is the one footing the bill so anything goes, in my case one time we were told to be quiet by someone on the floor because someone decided to put a help desk on the "quiet floor" and when we kept our voice down the people on the phone kept telling us to speak up so it was catch-22-clearly no one thought to put us on a floor where we wouldn't bother anyone, also one time there was a misunderstanding regarding a process involving the Finance Team and even though I was doing what I was told I had a Manager from Finance show up at my desk whom I never met, refuse to shake my hand when I politely introduced myself since we never met and then she proceeded to verbally abuse me in front of the whole floor. The trainers did step up and defend me but I quit that day. *outdated telephone system was causing spam calls on all 4 lines of my phone causing me to drop calls and mess up my stats and it turns out they haven't updated their security for 1 year and when I asked about details no one really knew what was going on or wouldn't tell me specifically even though I am quite well versed in telephony and security *evening shift is ok because most end-users have gone home and the people who are left are usually laid back but daytime is extremely busy and end-users are not tech-savvy and stressed because they have court and meetings and are extremely rude most of the time, they basically expect you to move mountains in under 5 minutes with limited resources and they may cuss you out if they think you are too slow or something doesn't happen exactlyas they expected. OK place to start (stepping stone) if you need Canadian experience or something like that and have thick skin but if you have 3+ years of experience and actually want to pursue a real IT career you are wasting your time and energy here -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 3.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 5.0 2.0 465554 Open I don't think there is anything I could say that would make one bit of difference simply because of the nature of the business . 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Intelliteach Financial Services

private:intelliteach-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=465554 Jan 28th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Intelliteach Desktop Support Technician Atlanta, GA Poor Management, HR, and Planning If management was the same in 2019 and before...then very cool lax environment where getting work done was easy and simple. No real pressure and micro management. Current upper management will lie to cover their own behind. For example if they decide they no longer like you...they will paint a picture of you that's not true. The saying of smile in your face and go behind your back is very true in this environment. Also if you decide to go to HR about your situation they will take your superiors side even if he/she is proven wrong with email verification and valid points. They will build a case against you to release a few months later. Only a few people you can trust and even then. Poor planning on projects...for example their very indecisive on their direction of the company in the IT Department. The SD Director your serving will tell you day of that they need something completed and your IT Director will expect you to make a plan and execute with no error. If done incorrectly you will be question on your performance. Be careful working here. Get your IT experience and leave. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 5.0 1.0 1.0 465554 Open Be honest with your employees on the bottom and stop letting upper management (directors) lie to C suite level. And HR needs to defend their employees better when upper management makes up lies against the people their supervising. You're quick to release the employee but not with upper management. The reason this is an issue is because of relationships that have been established for many years within upper management. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Intelliteach Financial Services

private:intelliteach-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=465554 Jan 6th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Intelliteach Service Desk Analyst Toledo, OH Great Company! I enjoyed working for Intelliteach. I started in the Toledo, OH office in March and after 2 weeks of in class training was told that we had to move to working from home. The process of switching to work from home while also training to be an analyst was a bit overwhelming but the trainer understood and was always available to help. There is OT for you to pickup sometimes which is nice and it’s also not mandatory which is also nice. My site manager, Joe was incredible! I knew I could call him and vent if I had a issue with a coworker or a bad call with a user. He was always there to hear me out and listen! You don’t find that type of understanding in a manager these days. I liked how we could ask help in MS Teams during a call or email. MOST of the time there was someone available to help you. Intelliteach made it so that we could all work from home during the pandemic. We were given an option to take home equipment such as monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc. I didn’t have to come out of picked at all. Overall, this is a good company to get your foot in the door to real IT work. The 1 hour lunch break and two 15 min breaks were very nice to have! The pay is low and you have to wait 6 months for a .40 cent increase. Depending on what team you’re on, there can be days where you are short staffed which makes it very overwhelming when you have 50+ tickets in queue. There are times when HR takes forever to approve your PTO so you have to hunt them down an follow-up with them on that. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 5.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 465554 Open Please try to retain your employees or hire a good amount of hires. private:intelliteach-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=465554 Dec 21st, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Intelliteach Service Desk Analyst Atlanta, GA Take Your Skills and Keep Moving You do pick up a lot of valuable service desk and IT skills over a short period of time such as various remote methods, virtual desktops, and a myriad of software, a lot of it specific to law firms [Intelliteach works exclusively with law firms around the country]. The training is subpar. It will FEEL thorough [four weeks of training] but nothing that's covered in training is what's actually happening on the service desk floor. You spend an unnecessary amount of time learning the ins and outs of formatting legal documents in MS Word [most of which can easily be covered in a Google search], but very little time learning how to find RSA Tokens on the system, which remote methods are most efficient, etc. Anyone who has worked in a call center can attest to this. There is a script for phone calls, but clients are usually so irate, abusive, and impatient that you never really get a chance to use it in full. The company has a weird policy about not telling clients you're not part of a firm's internal/dedicated team, which leads to confusion when they call because you might not actually know the methods of remote accessing a system or troubleshooting an issue because the myriad of firms aren't covered in training. Management loves to micromanage, and the slightest mistakes will have at least five supervisors in Teams berating you for not knowing you made a mistake. There's also a weird points system that no one talks about where if you miss a certain amount of time, you accumulate points, and once you hit 55, you're fired. You can remove those points by working overtime or waiting a year for them to fall off. Like most corporations, they also don't like when you get sick or injured, and like most corporations, you're expected to tolerate the abuse, disrespect, and dehumanization of clients and coworkers alike. This place is the puppy mill of IT jobs. My advice is ultimately to use whatever time you need in this job to get your resume polished with your new skills and move onto a place with a much better organizational structure and workplace culture. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 465554 Open Be thorough in training employees, trust your employees to actually do their jobs instead of constantly micromanaging or condescending to them when they ask questions for clarification, especially when you KNOW all that needs to be covered in the training period won't be covered at all. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Mar 8th, 2021 09:20PM Intelliteach Financial Services
