Everyone here now is dedicated, friendly, hard-working and team-oriented. Yes, it's a nonprofit, so wages aren't what they might be at a for-profit company, but health benefits are 100% paid, which is a big perk. If you require a fancy office with an espresso machine and a beautiful view, look elsewhere. This is a warehouse environment with bad heating and jeans-and-T-shirts dress code (pets allowed!), but it's in Fremont with views of Lake Union and great restaurants all around. The services and products offered are exceptional. The only negative thing I can say about Interconnection is that, while the benefits are generous, they can't quite offer an actual living wage in Seattle. Interconnection has struggled with some difficult people in positions of power in the past, but we currently have a great team with open and reasonable managers. There's a lot of weird dynamics between employer and employee here and you better be in peak health with no allergies, disabilities or the like to work there. There's a lot to do yet not a lot to do. The company likes making busy work so being mediocre is the best at this role. Too good/quick they'll just drop busy work on you. However when you have a dream, even if it is a good one, you need people to execute it and some management manages to drag their feet on this and instead focus valuable resources on trivial matters. I want this place to succeed which is why I do not want to discourage people from working here. If you're the type of person that is willing to fight for what is right then you should have no problems here as there will be like minded people.
