My experience working at Interlachen Country Club
As a lifeguard, the aquatics manager is completely incompetent at his job. Very unprofessional. Most of the time has lifeguards sitting around doing nothing or completing unnecessary tasks. Changes his mind about policies every other day so no one is sure what to expect. Gossips about other staff members. Indecisive about his own decisions that he needs to ask lifeguards about things that should be management decisions. Does not get his own work done in a timely manner because he is so busy micromanaging his employees. Overall the club has great benefits and pay but it is not worth dealing with terrible management.

This company will take excellent care of you and there is opportunity for advancement in the pkb. Upper management doesnt give a flying (you know what) about anyone but themselves. Other management is cool. Work load is fine.

Very nice restaurant with a very talented chef and great management

I was a full-time server at Interlachen for about 2 and a half years. I loved working there, the management takes great care of you and are very hands on and willing to help with everything. The atmosphere is unique because you get to know the membership pretty well. Great place to work and wouldn't have left any time soon if it wasn't for the fact that I had to relocate.

Free employee food, good compensation, positive managment, room for advancment in some areas.
|
All hands on deck for holidays, maybe just a little more training at the beginning.

It was fun, we came together and worked together well. All country club members respected us and enjoyed our company. Good relationships with the kitchen staff as well as lifeguards.

Easy very unproductive place
|
Easy job, not much to do as a lifeguard, manager is very bad. usual days goes by mostly cleaning random stuff that doesn't have to do with lifeguarding, helping with towels, entertain kids, sitting bored for hours because there is nothing to do and also having to deal with the terrible manager. at least you'll get free food I guess...

An enjoyable experience

Working at Interlachen Country Club is really nice. Being a caddy isn't the hardest job ever, but I believe it builds important life skills that will help me in my future. Also, I have gained a lot of knowledge about golf and golf related things.

Quick Money, but you may question your life
|
Draining hours when busy, insufficient pay. They do not care about their employee's. The best part is that they are flexible with school schedules. Management needs all the help from the lord, and they use their best workers, with no valid reward. Don't work here, unless you need money, and you are a clean person, with a strong head. Drama city, the other workers, and members like to get into your personal life, because you spend so much time there.
