Great People, Great Location

I love working downtown with a great group of people. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming to new staff. Smaller team sizes create a lot of opportunities to take on new challenges and grow.
|
The industry is a bit niche, so it can take a bit of time to learn the ins and outs as well as industry specific terminology but everyone is very supportive.

- Management is transparent with expectations and standings/expectations of the company as a whole
- A great work/life balance (I was sceptical at first, but its been great)
- Knowledgeable team mates
- Stress free environment all while maintain a fast pace / rapidly evolving job.
- Great location, easily accessible by metro and steps from Ste-Catherine street with stores and restaurants.
- Roof top terraces allows you to benefit from the nice days.
- Weekly Groceries and Coffee
- Management is always open to listening to ideas, discussing them openly and trying new things, you feel heard.

- Sometimes things are slow to progress / get implemented
- Parking (if you drive in) is not ideal
- Food options could be slightly healthier
- Insurance plan is nice but has lacks such a massage therapy / physio etc. are not covered.

Professional team in place so you get to work with competent people.
The company offers a very good work / life balance.
Managers are accessible and encourage the spirit of initiative from every level in the company. Successful initiatives are rewarded while the failing ones do not lead to sanctions.

Since they are one of the smaller players in the market sometimes we must get more creative in finding solutions that could otherwise be solved with specialized tools /software.

It's all about the people. The office feels like a family and my colleagues are pleasant. No big egos, no drama. There's free food, snacks, a cool massage chair and fun group activities. I like the fact that the company respects work/life balance. Managers also invest in training and developing employees.
There's a fair shot at career growth within the company, as high performers are rewarded with promotions.

Good company to work for with a good work-life balance and a nice team

The work life balance is really good and they understand the particulars of family life. You won't be asked to work late (unless some rare urgency pops up) and presenteeism is discouraged. The Managing Director's door is always open and the management team in general are very approachable. You can have a lot of say on the scope of your work there. If you're interested in doing something, they'll encourage you.

If you need to work from home because your kid is sick or a plumber is coming over, they're fine with it, but there is no official work from home policy. That wasn't an issue for me, but it may be for others.

The people and the clients! The team at iP is great and there is always something interesting to work on for large multinational clients, you will learn a lot from working with clients such as GM, Ford, Adobe etc. never a dull moment. Other perks include breakfast, happy hours and the great location right downtown and less than a one minute walk to the Metro.
|
The office layout is a little odd and can sometimes make the place look empty. Sometimes progress on certain projects might feel slow, this is due to resource management but it can still be aggravating.

Colleagues are nice people, and there is good work/life balance if you need to arrive late or leave early for emergencies or appointments.
The CMO left (or was let go) in January, so hopefully things will improve on the business generation side of things.
|
Expanded to a new office on two floors, but feels like a ghost town after multiple rounds of layoffs in the past couple of years. Employees are opting to leave without having other jobs lined up, which is never a good sign. Business is drying up, and the company could be in serious financial trouble without investor funding or finding more clients.
There is no investment in employee development, so don't look to grow you knowledge too much.
