I worked as a manager for two years. Salary and bonuses about 50k a year. No health benefits. Store owner can easily use you. It all depends on if you’re working with a decent franchisee or not. But regardless of that, the actual job itself is easy. The stress will come mostly with volume of customers. Know your job/role well and you will excel. Also, teaches you how to multi-task and to be more social which can translate well to most other things out there. Caused us to be really short often and struggled to keep up with owner demands. Schedules and availability are made new once a week, making it easy to plan any time off or trips. We communicate through a group messaging app, making contacting your coworkers and management extremely efficient. What I did not enjoy were the coworkers who were more than qualified but straight up refused to cooperate and instead spread negativity. I tried my best to shoulder the weight of the store and tried to carry the team as best as I could but I reached a breaking point of stress that was affecting me. For the amount of work I was doing I was not getting paid enough to do the job of 3 people. Inflation hurts and when a company doesnt try its best to keep one of its best let that be the indicator that its not the store owner. I will always appreciate this place for what it did for me. I have worked at 3 different locations as I have moved. I worked as a crew member there. It was a good job. We did make tips, but there wasn't a huge difference in pay because of it. Management did change several times over the course of my employment there.
