Logan College Instructor Electronics Department Wonderful school with very motivated students. I teach hardware and networking for the ELT Department. We take kids who've never torn apart a computer or setup a router and give them direct hands on experience doing those things. I tell them that when they go for an interview they may be asked "have you replaced a processor?" or "Have you configured port forwarding on a router?" and after our program their answer to many/most of these procedures will be "yes!" Logan College Case Manager Carterville, IL USA Excellent place to work Most days I come in and check my email, answer any questions clients may have submitted. I return phone calls and start reviewing mail for processing. My supervisor is very generous in allowing us to work without much supervision and to process as we see fit in accordance with policy. The hardest part of my job is dealing with clients that are angry or upset. Mainly because they don't meet the criteria for our job. The most enjoyable part is the people I work with. Logan College IT Student Worker Carterville, IL USA Hands on Learning This position works directly with the professors of the program where responsibilities include getting classes for real students and other end users. This is a job where you will learn depending on how much you decide to put in. The tasks range from installing a program ahead of a class period to troubleshooting remote desktop connection issues related to our cloud environment. This job is suited for those knowledgeable in IT and those who are not as you will learn a plethora of information while on the job. Having proper time management and prioritization is important for this job. Very hands on, accommodating supervisors, experience with real-world network environment. Logan College Administrative Assistant, Building Maintenance Carterville, IL USA Excellent place to work. I worked at John A Logan College for 30 years with a few different positions. This was not only my career but, was like a family I had been there for so long. The assets I gained working at John A Logan College are too numerous to even list. I worked in very fast paced offices over the years and I worked very closely with management. I have also hired student workers and trained numerous people over the years.
