No Time Off At All for 6 Months!

Only work here if you're new in your claims career to gain some kind of experience or if you are truly desperate.
Turnover is HIGH. People come only to leave once they find something better a month or two later.
There is no time off AT ALL for 6 months. Yes, you read that correctly. You do not get a day off until you've been there for 6 months. The position is salaried but you're expected to do your timecard everyday and deduct even 2 minutes if you're late or lunch runs over but they expect you to work over 40 hours without compensating for the time.
Systems are outdated. Technology is still in the dark ages. There is no wi-fi in the office even though this is the year 2021. Clients attempt to hijack and govern adjuster decisions but want adjusters to present the decisions as their own. A lot of people lack integrity.
No training whatsoever. They have a training 'manual' made of 3 sheets of paper with minimal writing and they don't even follow it. You're supposed to be trained for a week but it only actually amounts to 3 hours, on the first day and nothing more and then they assign about 100 claims that are 6 months old or greater. I've witnessed people start on a Monday and have 100+ claims assigned the same day with a 6 hour file review the following day, Tuesday. It's appalling and exploitative.
They say they promote from within but pass up internal employees and continuously post positions to job boards and don't allow employees the opportunity to move up.
Everyone complains they are doing the work of 2-3 people. They never hire more people to reduce workload or as the company grows. They just tack on more work to adjusters. Please be aware if you are hired here you will be replacing someone and you will more than likely be assigned 100+ claims on day one.
Again, would not recommend. Completely bottom of the barrel.

I have been working at Johns Eastern Company, Inc for about a year and a half. I had left the company for about two months and then came back to the office full time. The company welcomed me back with open arms, and I felt as though I had never left. I enjoy coming to work, as this is a busy company and there is always something to do! It is challenging as no two days are alike! I really enjoy coming to work every day because of the people I work with. We all get along so well, as it feels as though we are all one big team. Overall, I am so happy to be back working with Johns Eastern. They are flexible with your schedule, understanding, and are always there for one another. I would definitely recommend this company and career to my friends or anyone looking to get into insurance.

Your company sits smack dead in the middle of a cow pasture Bud, your talent pool is limited. Doesn’t that speak to you needing to be more open minded??!
