The ideal candidate has experience working in the public sector (tax, assurance) or finance, and private sector (industry) and ideally has previous startup experience. The candidate will be responsible for building and implementing accounting, reporting, budgeting, FP&A, SOPs/processes and should be both strategically minded and detail oriented. The ideal candidate will also have experience of managing processes within a VC funded startup including managing cap tables, raising funds, managing legal, insurance, and other TPA relationships.  Working closely with the leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this individual will help us ensure effective financial management tracking revenue and spend to ensure successful delivery of Tempest’s goals. The VP or Director of Finance will build and manage processes across modelling, forecasting, budget management, treasury, financial controls and corporate KPI development.  An ability to facilitate, guide and influence, without direct line management responsibility is essential for success in this role, as is the ability to work flexibly to manage emerging priorities and deliver change. This person must be fully adept at stakeholder management, project management and driving change management. This role will be based in New York, NY, with some travel as needed. Primary responsibilities will include supporting Tempest with state substance use disorder certifications, SBIR (Small Business Research Innovation) program application, and execution of our clinical research protocols. The ideal candidate has an interest in or experience working in clinical research, ideally in the behavioral health space, and high attention to detail. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will get direct exposure to launching new clinics, conducting research, and the process around clinical research protocols. They will also support outreach, data collection, and analysis for online assessments of possibly the largest active study of individuals with alcohol use disorder. This role will be based in New York, NY, as soon as our office reopens, and is open to remote candidates. Therapists use evidenced based practices to help members overcome barriers and discover their authentic selves. As a therapist, you embody our values of empathy and empowerment, and serve as an essential source of support for our members.    Therapists are part-time, remote employees. Therapists meet with members via HIPAA compliant video conferencing and will need to have access to a computer capable of video conferencing for these meetings. Therapists are expected to see a minimum of 10 members per week which translates to approximately 10 hours per week and will have the option of running groups. As part of the Tempest team, you will build your ideal practice, fully integrate into holistic treatment plans, receive robust support from the Tempest team, and see your clients transform their lives. Psychiatrists typically work directly with members enrolled in our Intensive Outpatient Program, who receive individual and group support through online meetings and community management. These psychiatrists will be part of a care team with therapists and peer coaches responsible for supporting members during their recovery journey and providing resources to assist individuals in reaching their personal goals. Psychiatrists may have an opportunity to form a Collaborative Practice Agreement with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners on our team.  Psychiatrists report directly to the Clinical Operations Lead, in partnership with our state Medical Director. As Tempest expands access into new states, there will be administrative leadership openings for state Medical Directors.
