Great place if you want a small but growing, challenging but casual environment

You will learn a lot as the company is changing. Pretty laid back culturally, but also pretty serious about growth. The experiences give you a good opportunity to use as a springboard to another bigger role when that time comes. Working from home most days is usually an option.
|
Because it's smallish (under 25 employees), sometimes you have to do work outside your normal comfort zone. And because they're trying to grow fast, there's a fair amount of pressure. Definitely not a good gig for someone who wants to "do the minimum".

The basics are all there, but you need to find a way to get more customers even faster. Also, don't be afraid to pull the trigger more quickly on employees who aren't super focused on success. The rest of us are trying hard and we want to work with people who feel the same.

It seems that employees are only recognized if they're in a customer-facing role and provide excellent customer service - sales, account management, professional services, support. Not all of us are customer-facing, and we work just as hard.
Good work is being put into developing the culture, but it's important to get all employees bought in to supporting a better culture.

Great people, great place, great benefits

I really enjoy the people here; lots of positivity and a zeal to get work done. The company is also small enough that if a change in direction needs to happen or a decision to be made, there's not much red tape to get past and the company can turn on a dime.
Plus, lots of paid time off and benefits here.
CEO is also pretty laid back and the rest of the company reflects that. You don't have to work weekends or nights if you don't want to.

Cubicle office; if you aren't already a go-getter it might be hard to keep up with the new ideas and changes in direction.

Product doesn't work in the enterprise. They lied to me about this when they hired me to work in enterprise sales. REALLY poor compensation...the lowest salary I'd made in 20 years.

The environment is extremely laid back. You don't need to work weekends if you don't want to.
|
As far as I can tell, most of us are severely underpaid, although we tend to have large amounts of PTO.
No raises.
Not enough resources to get everything that needs to be done accomplished.
Employee turnover is pretty bad.
Some employees get away with things that should get them fired.

CEO is a great guy- means well. Small company and family environment.

Senior staff set in their ways, competitors have moved in front of what Journyx is able to offer customers- if you are in sales this makes it tough to do your job. Training is on the job, not structured and product is very complex. Management is idealistic and not realistic.

Get ahead of the competition, stop listening to rigid system of old employees, welcome fresh eyes from new employees. The CEO is a really great guy (really... it's impossible not to like the guy) but needs a fresh start- be it a consultant, a newly hired CEO, etc.

Laid back culture, flexibility, little to no-micro management, good experience and exposure to opportunity, it's small enough to be agile and nimble in how they react and change direction

Communication not great, multiple areas/departments can sometimes be in competition with each other and outside partners, small company mentality can sometimes lead to knee-jerk reactions or multiple direction and strategy changes.
