Great coworkers and customers. I have met some of the most hard-working employees and the sweetest customers while working here. The company as a whole needs to change their perspective. The company has lost so many good employees because we're treated like garbage. The company does not recognize their employees and starts drama over petty things. The owner will not even say hello to you when he visits a store and has a fat ego. So many people have left because we are over worked and the way we are treated affects our mental health. They are environmentally friendly which is a plus. Coworkers were great. The manager was passive aggressive at time which often made things extremely uncomfortable. They often bakes more goods than necessary so they go in the trash at the end of day. Coffee isn't that great, which most of the employees would agree with. My first opening shift was a disaster. Was schedule to work with the manager to open and I waited for over 40 minutes for someone to show up. Found out the manager switched shifts with someone that was not even a barista to open and that person didn't show up. As the manager, it was their responsibility to guide me but instead passed the responsibilities to others. It happened on several occasions while I was there with other people. It's a great learning opportunity! The tips. That is all. Passive Aggressive managers. Everything is always out of stock or broken. Take responsibility for your own mistakes instead of always putting it back on employees. Managers make it difficult to want to return to work the next day. Nothing is ever stocked. Things are always broken. I worked there for 9 months and I was essentially just thrown on the drive through and forgotten about, I never got trained as barista. The manager made it difficult to talk to her about any kind of questions and concerns. Oh and she essentially put in my 2 weeks for me because she started drastically cutting my hours and eventually stopped giving me any at all. There was never a conversation or anything about it. I hated this job so much I didn’t even bother trying to have a conversation with her either. I just wanted to leave. District manager is overworked and subsequently often angry and frustrated. The roastery is nearby so beans are fresh. Tips can be good depending on location. You can be trained as a barista after being a cashier for a while. The management is genuinely awful. Don't be expected to be treated kindly or with respect. Don't expect good hourly pay, and don't mention a raise because you'll be asked to find another job. Sometimes management won't even tell you when you're fired and put it on other employees to communicate that. The owners stop by whenever they want, which normally wouldn't be that bad except Raphael is a complete jerk. The high turnover rate means you're stuck working jobs without the title (e.g. managerial duties) and long hours by yourself. The atmosphere is not conducive to a team that wants to stick around.
