Really had no complaints. The benefits were great and the fact that I had a vehicle to take home made things even better. Just wish the pay was a bit more. 0.0 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 5.0 5.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 03:15PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:24PM Kentucky Educational Television

There is also an extremely positive and friendly culture within the organization. 0.0 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 4.0 5.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 03:15PM Mar 20th, 2021 06:39PM Kentucky Educational Television

Working at KET taught me about honesty, integrity, loyalty, team building, growth as an employee and person. Workplace culture was exciting, never rote, always a learning experience. I love working at KET. The work itself is great and fun. The people you work with are amazing. But it isn't very easy to advance at all. I've worked there for three years as a contract employee and have been working towards being a full time employee but their funding makes it difficult to hire on full time employees. Apart from that the atmosphere and the work are fun and a good experience. 0.0 0.0 3.0 5.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 03:15PM Mar 20th, 2021 10:48PM Kentucky Educational Television
private:kentuckyeducationaltelevision https://www.indeed.com/cmp/kentucky-educational-television/reviews Dec 29th, 2015 12:00AM Open Open Kentucky Educational Television Producer/Director Lexington, KY USA I produced, directed, videographed, edited, etc. over 1,000 educational programs at KET. My work day varied between traveling for productions around KY, and around the nation, also international travel. Most work days were spent in house for studio productions, editing, content meetings, production meetings in all phases of the projects that I was working on at the time. I learned a wide variety of different educational curricula with my projects. The Education management was excellent, and appreciated my skills and talent. This allowed me to produce high quality educational programming as a person that could handle all phases of the productions. Most of the co-workers were competent and easy to work with. The hardest part of the job was also the most enjoyable part of the job, and that was juggling all aspects of a production with a very competent and friendly Education staff. The projects provided a wide variety of learning along with educating the public. When they moved myself, and the other producer/directors, from the Education Department to the Production Department in 2011. 0.0 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 03:15PM Mar 20th, 2021 02:41PM Kentucky Educational Television
private:kentuckyeducationaltelevision https://www.indeed.com/cmp/kentucky-educational-television/reviews May 6th, 2014 12:00AM Open Open Kentucky Educational Television Associate Producer Lexington, Kentucky USA A Great Place to Gain Experience I do love what I do for this job. As an associate producer I do much of the logistical and leg work to set up various shoots for an in house show we produce entitled, "Kentucky Life". A typical day has me doing research, contacting and networking, scheduling, attending production shoots, editing, and posting to the web. I have learned so much in the time I have worked for KET and am learning more, particularly with field camera work and learning Dreamweaver for web design. I'm mostly learning Dreamweaver on my own but I am applying it to things I do at work. I have also learned how to conduct a project from it's beginning to end, from ideas to development to production and it's final stages of airing and posting to the web. I love working in media and I am looking to further my career with a full time position. Management is encouraging as far as learning everything one wants to learn. Given the type of employee I am my supervisor has encouraged me to try hands on learning at many things I have expressed interest in. My co-workers are the same. They make work so much fun and help to make loving what I do even more. The hardest part of the job is that I am only part time. I work this job in the day time and then have to balance a second job at nights. I work at a local news station as a technical director and studio production technician. There are many times a week I have to shuffle and balance schedules around. But the most enjoyable part of the job is that there is a good balance of office work to field work and I love that. I get to experience all phases of a production and it makes me fell good at what I do and useful. Ability to learn many skills, flexibility with schedules, good balance of office to field work, fun co-workers that work as a team, company lunches and holiday events in office. Only part time, no benefits, not much of a chance of being hired full time. 0.0 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 03:15PM Mar 20th, 2021 02:02AM Kentucky Educational Television
