Startup Needs More Focus to Grow

I think everyone at KEY works really hard and there’s a lot of potential in the company. There is a lot of focus on growth with very little focus on sustainability.
Very little training. Throw-You-Into-The-Deep End model for new employees. Management is spread so thin there’s no opportunity to ask questions or learn from them when thrown into a new role. When questions are asked, they are often met with shrugs. There is too much going on at KEY with far too few employees to do the job right.
They weren’t able to handle the pandemic well. Work from home is especially ineffective especially when piling the jobs of 3-4 employees on one person. Key offers no work-home-life balance. Zero time off was allowed when the pandemic hit. Even in emergencies. Salaries were reduced at the beginning of the pandemic but a more rigid 24/7 on-call mentality was enforced.
Irresponsible lack of restructuring; KEY had to do lay offs multiple times throughout the pandemic resulting in restructuring. Instead of looking at the restructure in advance of layoffs, they posted new positions on job boards a within weeks of letting dozens of employees go. There’s a lot of talk within KEY about how the CEO really cares about her employees but this kind of handling of layoffs and restructuring is irresponsible and proves otherwise.

Went from loving my job to just becoming another job.
|
Was really happy how they were down to earth but straight forward, at the beginning. Worked as a team until a new manager came in and changed up the original management team of people that were there since Key Travel opened. At that point it became very stressful. When the original staff was there, I learned so much! We had team nights which were fun and made it so much nicer to work together.

Fantastic place to work before their office move last year! Have completely gutted the staff there before covid too! One of their key factors is compassion however they don’t follow the same when it come to staff

Left due to redundancies. Generally a good company to work for. Before COVID, very busy, possibly understaffed. Work life balance neglected towards the end

I wish the original owner would not sell this Amazing company to a Corporation who appointed a MORON to run it for the past 18 months.
There is no growth, no incentive and management has no clue.
The best part was to work for our most valuable clients who trust and believed in most of the experienced agents. It is now a call center and your calls will be transferred to another country. Clients be aware of this.
