There are a lot so please take heed of these & ask the right questions during your interview process:
- no work life balance at all. expectations to attend 6am calls & be online slack at all hours of the day with responses.
- Leadership is an absolute mess. CEO/COO lack communication skills & are always "scolding" their employees. They are unaware of how to lead & build the org and fires anyone that challenges their direction. This is probably the biggest reason most everyone leaves. The avg. tenure here is 1yr.
- While people are smart here, the work makes you take yourself way too seriously. Everyones working way too hard and it makes you a very negative individual & puts you in a negative headspace here.
- Leadership is from a different country & their culture is to be "direct" which here is an excuse for "I can be rude as hell and you can't say anything back". It's inexcusable & HR here is a joke because what do you say to your boss?
- Direction changes every second; my entire work experience has been at start-ups so I'm aware of the challenges of that space but this is not for those reasons. Leadership changes their mind every other day. The CEO and CPO disagree & argue and tell everyone to focus on different priorities without gaining alignment. Everything is a Priority 1; When everything's a priority, then really is anything a priority?
- Low flexibility; they require everyone to come in 3days a week no questions asked. One of the company benefits was to have some additional company-wide holidays offered & the HR/Leadership team sent the company multiple emails saying "there's too much work so we're taking back those holidays. If you've planned something, unplan that". Even with that email, there was no recognition of the company's hard work - that is the more frustrating part.

- Create and actually stick to better culture & values. You need to appreciate & empower the people that work for you. Your employees are who make this company what it is so do better. Listen to everyone!
