K Health was once a pretty cool place to work however during the most recent restructuring of the company it is not safe to be an employee due to never ending changes in compensation structure, scheduling changes not ever knowing how many hours you will get and/or when "Jenn" will change your schedule without you knowing and lack of patient safety being the priority.

Slave driver mentality from admin and no support
|
Worked as a physician early on in this startups history and you’re basically thrown into the mix without much support. “Just follow the algorithm” which isn’t exactly helpful for complicated patients. Essentially zero support from any one above and zero advancement opportunity despite my attempts, even just to find out more about the company, they just want worker bees, no thought. They’re trying to automate health care and I’m sure they’d love it if all humans were removed from their company except for the admin.

Great place to work overall
|
This is my second experience working at a start-up and it has been an overall a good experience. I love my co-workers and my managers. Here in the Indy office, we have one of the best office managers I have ever had. I feel listened to by all of my supervisors and that means a lot when you sit at the bottom of the totem poll anywhere. I feel like we who come in and actually care about this place, feel appreciated. I have worked CSR jobs before and never felt that kind of gratitude from above until K. My only critique is there are no merit increases in place , or any real path to advancement from this level. I feel like upper management should really take heed of that or they may lose people in the future. I also feel like they should put more focus on fixing issues that cause us to lose our customer/patient base as much as they focus on growing it.

Find another company to invest your time

The treatment at the beginning was good and they acted like they really cared. That's stops almost immediately after you have been there for a short time. Training was a joke, one week and you were on your own with very little help. Trying to reach out to a manager for assistance was nonexistent. It is huge mistake to invest your time and energy with this company. Don't waste your time there are better positions out there.
