Yes he was strict and was by the book, but as long as you did your job and did it well he didn't bother you. He was always supportive and made it a great place to work. It all fell apart when little Scott Kincaid became in charge of the company. Scott is the son of the Owner Don Kincaid. He is the most arrogant individual anyone has ever met. Scott Sheriff !! That was the biggest joke ever, he went to hiring so many managers and directors. The only thing sheriff did was waste millions on unnecessary staff to make him look important. Im sure he lined his pockets quite well before he made his exit about 6 months ago. How the owner didn't see this happening ill never know. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 863205 Open Leave the current CEo of DS in charge of the company, he knows the business. Leave Scott Kincaid selling cars, thats about his mentality is a used car salesman. If Scotts daddy wasn't the owner he couldn't find a job or keep one very long. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Kincaid Coach Lines Travel & Leisure

Inexperienced Department Managers Very nice new office building. They hire managers who have no experience in the motor coach or travel businesses, so the few people who are actually doing all of the work have to try to succeed despite the uninformed decisions made by management. Seriously understaffed, constant stress trying to get everything done on time. Mismanagement resulting in periodical layoffs, which adds to everyone’s stress. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 863205 Open Hire managers who understand the business. private:kincaidcoachlines-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=863205 Jun 23rd, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Kincaid Coach Lines Motor Coach Operator Oklahoma City, OK It’s a nice job with very few complaints but the company would do better by listing to the drivers. The company gives you a daily food allowance if you are gone longer than 10 hours a day and a $1 phone credit per day. The company will put you in decent hotels and they do pay a decent daily rate if you are stuck in a hotel. They company will only pay for 10 hours a day even if you work 12 hours. They do pay a daily rate of 10 hours a day if you are stuck in a hotel. They have too many people in the corporate office and it doesn’t seem like they take the drivers concerns seriously. Most current employees I have spoken to don’t give good reviews of the company. Apparently the biggest issue is the nepotism with having the owners son running the business. The other issue is most in the office have no experience driving a bus. The office experience is nice but if you can’t empathize with the driver and understand what they are going through you can’t understand why they are leaving. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 863205 Open Try and talk to your employees, especially your drivers because they are the company. 0.0 [] PART_TIME No Yes 1.0 Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Kincaid Coach Lines Travel & Leisure
private:kincaidcoachlines-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=863205 Nov 30th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Kincaid Coach Lines Management Kansas City, MO One of the worst companies I’ve ever been employed by Some of the managers are great professionals and kind people They have insurance now CEO and owner are VERY kind people despite being poor business professionals in the modern environment. They don’t let any of the excellent managers have a say, the wannabe CEO (owner’s son) constantly micromanaged the team and overrides decisions about which he has no expertise The insurance is so expensive nobody can afford it easily Chauvinism to the degree that the entire female staff of the HR department quit as well as the majority of the other female management team over the last 3 years or so. Not uncommon to be called “honey” “sweetheart” “darlin’” and other inappropriate names while working. Very degrading and only directed towards female staff by senior staff. Not work place appropriate but HR is not given the power necessary to govern over this situation. Management would gather to make fun of lower level staff complaints and would talk poorly about other management that was not in the room at the moment CEO and Owner are both completely out of touch with reality and come up with ridiculous ideas and then ask staff to work 80 hour weeks at below-market salaries in order to complete work rather than staffing up. Including asking HR staff of 2-3 to accommodate needs of over 1000 employees. Verbal promises of promotions, salary upgrades, and office accommodations were made and left unfulfilled while responsibilities were increased and excellent reviews were being given at annuals. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 863205 Open Get on board with HR practices in the real world. Get a CEO with experience rather than an inexperienced man whose only reason for position is blood. (He could make an excellent future CEO but his current experience level equates to general manager at best. His kindness is certainly of value but his experience matters more.) 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Kincaid Coach Lines Travel & Leisure
private:kincaidcoachlines-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=863205 Jun 15th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Kincaid Coach Lines Tulsa, OK Could be a great place if real issues addressed Good pay, great travel opportunity, nice new equipment, most co-workers are helpful and knowledgeable over worked, over time is not paid consistently, holiday pay is regular pay rather than time and 1/2. HR rep info is not listed or given when asked. Management is worried about all the wrong things and one manager is very quick to curse drivers and others out and be a complete bully. Makes me wonder if the owner of the company is actually aware of what is really going on or if he knows but turns a blind eye as to not be held accountable. When contacting upper management to solve concern job will usually always be threatened. Just when you think things will begin to look more promising you are hit with a ton of bricks to knock you right back down to feeling disposable and inferior. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 863205 Open This should not be a revolving door company, but when drivers are constantly in fear of asking questions or reporting wrong doings you need to take that info and have a conversation about it not respond by cursing or degrading. And idc how short handed you think you are all drivers need to be held to the same accountability and make them do their jobs otherwise what you will end up with is all of your good devoted drivers are about to walk and you will be left with the drivers who are lazy, defiant, argumentative, and verbally expressive of their refusal to do what is required of them. Good drivers and hard workers know they can get other employment if they have to and that is the current situation at this location. Have you thought about what you will do when 75% of the employees in Tulsa walk because nothing is being enforced where it needs to be? Family, Safety, Respect and what else...it does not matter because it appears that this is just for public persona truth be known there has been none of this exhibited as of yet. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Mar 15th, 2021 03:01PM Kincaid Coach Lines Travel & Leisure

On call 24/7-calls all hours of the day and night, they tell you during the interview process that you will rarely get calls outside of office hours, it happens daily. (this really sucks if you're a salaried employee) Extreme nepotism -They hire people they've known for decades regardless of whether or not they are qualified and that makes it difficult to report policy violations Benefits are extremely expensive. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 863205 Open Do more research and get a better insurance premiums Get your employees some real time off. Kincaid was a great company to work for until about a year ago, they have hired so many directors who don't have a clue about transportation and micro manage so bad its not worth the headache. There needs to be 1boss not 15. You cant do your job due to getting numerous emails and phone calls from each director having there own agenda. It is really the biggest cluster I have ever Seen. If it weren't for Don Kincaid I would have left as soon as they hired all these directors. You can not express your opinion or what you think will or will not work, its their way or the highway mentality. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 2.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 863205 Open Get rid of all the extra unneeded employees in Kansas City, you don't need all these directors.
