Friendly environment, good pay, easy work

I very much enjoyed my time at King Memory. I originally started as a memory tester and eventually worked my way up to their Final Receiving department. I also was cross trained in several different departments (Scrap, Shipping/Packaging, Server room). I learned a lot about RAM there, and believe me there's a lot more than what meets the eye.
I thought management was great. Workplace culture was on point to what I was looking for. Relaxed, temperature controlled environment. Although they (obviously) discouraged chatting up a storm, it was acceptable to participate in discussion on occasion with the people around you. I made good friends there.
The hardest part of the job was probably keeping up with demands during the peak hours, but even then you usually had a full team with you working on all different carts of RAM. They allow you to listen to music there too, so it made the work go by a lot quicker. Another hard part was learning all the specific things about RAM, such as speed, capacities, what bad RAM looks like, sounds like, even smells like, etc.. But it all comes to you pretty quickly, the training is great there.
The most enjoyable time I had was when I was in Final Receiving. I felt as if I had a good amount of responsibility, and was in charge of a few more things than normal. I absolutely loved the people I worked around and the people I engaged in projects with.
Unfortunately lack of work was the end of that, which is why i've rated Job Security as 4/5. I would however absolutely return if I got a call back today.

A "meh" job turned into a career opportunity
|
The jobs can be extremely monotonous, but the co-workers, culture, perks, and flexibility make up for it ten-fold. This is a company that will give back to you what you give to it. I left only because of a move to another state and I know I'll never find a company quite like this one

Great place to work
|
King Memory is a great place to work. I enjoy the employee appreciation events planned several times a year. There is flexibility that they will work with you regarding scheduling needs. As long as you make your hours and show you're a hard worker, management is great to work with and supportive.

If you like being a robot...

Then this place is perfect. People and HR are super nice at first but will slowly nitpick you on every little detail. They offer 75mins of time for breaks, but they actually don't want you to use it.

Great people, good experience

Holidays were always the best. Everyone knew how to let loose. Good people in each department. Very goal oriented, team atmosphere. Promotions aren't given on merit, productivity, or seniority is the only downfall here.

I really enjoyed working here the owners and all the managers really care about the employees and theres a lot of mobility to move up as long as you prove your self as a hard worker.

It's alright
|
Hours are kind of terrible and very early in the morning but there's not much micromanagement and the team members are nice. The management is understanding of time off.
