Graduated college, got the dream accounting job and that was that. Thrown into work with no training. The a/r manager was not nice or even communicated with you. There was no direction. Lots of clicks. Lots of outings with co workers and no invitations. Not friendly. Hours dragged by. I did more work for other departments than the one I was hired for. I was given the freedom to develop the practices we followed (within reason). Run on favoritism and is highly biased towards a single group of people within the company. No direction from Management as to required objectives or goals. Executives had no concept of the customer base and what was going on within each segment. Same people actively undermined work-flow and processes to make sure deals weren't closed. Bids were purposely overpriced to lose certain segments of the business with specific customers. The compensated their employees properly and the benefits were amazing. In the last 5 years they have cut, cut, cut away at the benefits. A multi million dollar company that prides itself on how great and innovative they are to work with clients, sure lacks when it comes to employees. The moral is horrible and the management doesn't seem to pick up on the issues or doesn't care.
