As my first edtech company, I found Knewton to be a breath of fresh air from more traditional companies. I was able to learn from incredibly smart, diverse, interesting people, become part of a singular mission steeped in innovation, and have a great work/life balance (while also working incredibly hard).

Wonderful people; interesting product

The best part of working at Knewton is the amount of learning. As an educational technology company, most people have some sort of teacher experience, and they really value sharing knowledge with their colleagues. People are generally kind and willing to help.
The most difficult part is the rapid growth, which sometimes pushes people to make difficult decisions about trade-offs in quality and speed.
