A maturing vision for the product which will be disruptive. Great people. Growing. Open, diverse, inclusive to the max! Incredible brand recognition amongst leading CMOs and marketing leaders at Fortune 1000 companies. Benefits are competitive and always being added to. Not a con, but an element of all startups.... is that finding where to focus can be challenging, esp. with many stakeholders. No company is immune to this - but it is all about how leadership manages it. At Knotch, because of the growth opportunity in front of us the things we could focus on our endless. In the short time I've been here I've already noticed more attention being given to how we focus, which is promising. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 1095890 Open Continue to drive focus. You need to drink the Kool-aid or else you'll be on the outside. That's what they call "culture". They talk about "transparency" but only what they want you to see and hear. Also if you read the positive reviews you'll notice a pattern. Part of the cult following. That goes with managers pushing everyone to give positive reviews on best workplace surveys. Even to a point where they'll tell everyone the "gotcha question" so survey takers won't just select 5 out of 5. Just like Amazon reviews, do your own research. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1095890 Open Credit to the CEO. She is the perfect modern-day used car salesman. She can sell you the Brooklyn Bridge while her underlings do the dirty work (like firing people because they don't what to pay severance) and she'll play innocent. You'll never hear respected CEOs ever mention their position because they already have the respect they earned and deserve. Fortunately, they have podcasts and videos where you can see the suckup to clients. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Knotch
private:knotch https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1095890 Dec 23rd, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Knotch Site Reliability Engineer New York, NY Rapidly growing company with great values and a focus on it’s people. - Good people w/ genuine care for the work & each other - Well designed office & branding (cool company merch) - Great office location - Flexible WFH - Unlimited PTO (within reason + has to be scheduled obviously to minimize any potential negative impact) - Very down to earth, accessible, and genuine management all the way to the executive team - Daily lunch stipend - Paid commuters benefit (cost of unlimited metrocard) - Regular creative & fun team building events - Company off-sites - Relevant and modern tech stack/infrastructure - Good sense of humor across the org - A nice focus on employee health & wellness programs - The bathrooms are extremely private and well maintained (as is the rest of the office) - Professional learning & development budget to attend conferences, take courses, etc. And on & on I could list things. It really is a wonderful place to work. - Base salary isn’t necessarily competitive with market rate - it’s not far off and all the benefits such as the daily lunch stipend do help recover some of it. - Open floor plan can be loud but everyone has an open floor plan these days sadly. - A certain degree of disorganization, this has improved since I started and may be more of a symptom of rapid growth than anything else. It’s not severe, but you may find yourself unsure at times but if you do your due diligence, start asking questions, etc you’ll get the help you need. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 1095890 Open Consider adding something like a headphone stipend to minimize complaints about the noise from the open office concept. Most of us already just utilize our personal headphones, which isn’t a far fetched expectation at all, but a stipend to help cover noise cancelling headphones for those who don’t have would probably help quell any potential complaints around that issue. Keep doing pretty much everything else. I know as the company personnel grows it can be hard/expensive to maintain certain things but I would really try to maintain things like the culture club events, off-sites, etc. They really allow for building deeper cross team connections which ultimately helps optimize everyone’s workflow. When we ultimately move offices please try to keep it in the same neighborhood and make sure the new office has bathrooms as private as the current office! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Knotch

I have strong faith in Knotch's future. 2) Countless opportunities to prove your value and get rewarded and recognized for your contributions, including promotions 3) Constant learning on the job and a framework for you to apply those learnings 4) Fast-paced environment that provides us numerous ways to make an impact 5) Best Benefits + Perks program I've ever had: monthly stipends, great insurance, daily lunch, unlimited PTO etc. 6) We've started to invest in building a diverse and inclusive workforce and culture 7) Leadership is very understanding of work/life balance 1) Base compensation is fair, but not as competitive as other companies (perks make up for some of that) 2) At times, slow to deal with and solve difficult situations, especially organizationally 3) Communication process from leadership can always improve, and I've seen it dramatically improve over 2 years 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 1095890 Open Listen to your employees and spend more time with them; get to know them more. Include more leads at the table in making decisions so they have the context as to why we're starting new initiatives. I've referred multiple friends who currently work at and have seen growth within the company. private:knotch https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1095890 Jan 11th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Knotch United States USA Inspiring mission, leadership and team that has fun together -Leadership truly cares about the employee's well being, happiness and the culture as a whole and it always a priority. -Extremely talented and intelligent go getters make up the workforce. -AMAZING Benefits and Perks unlike any other startup I have worked at. -Dog-Friendly Fridays (Although I wish everyday was dog friendly) -Autonomy -Culture Club! - Really amazing events, fun happy hours, WFB (work from bar) Fridays. -A REAL work/life balance - I thought this was impossible to find in start ups and in NYC in general. But we have a real unlimited vacation policy, flexible travel schedules, Flexible work from home(I wfh about 1x a week), Flexible hours. As long as you get your work done you have the freedom to live your best life. -We recently launched a Mental Health and wellness initiative and group called Ocean, this is just one example of how much Anda(CEO) and our leadership team care about the employee's wellbeing and are pioneers in our space, rather than putting perks into place to be like everyone else. -Brilliant women in leadership (CEO & COO, SVP of Communications, Director of CS) that I have learned so much from and are all amazing mentors. Which has been so rare in my career to see. It's quite refreshing have this kind of diversity. -Flat organization allows for everyone to feel like they are making an impact and voices are heard. -Amazing and Trendy Soho/Tribeca Loft Office -Inspiring mission that makes me feel like we can really make a big impact. Overall, the team really supports each other. There is no gossip (at least not that I hear) and it's really a culture of bringing each other up, working hard but having a blast together while we do it. I can genuinely and honestly say I like every single person on the team and I am excited to come into the office everyday because I know that I am a part of something truly special. All the Benefits & Perks: -New and amazing insurance benefits with a lot of options and covered at 99% -Ocean - Mental Health and Wellness Stipend and Group -Free lunch everyday from corporate seamless or you can go out for lunch. -FSA/HSA -Life Insurance, STD, LTD -Competitive Pay -Free Commuter Benefits (this really adds up!) -Unlimited PTO, sick time. -Flex hours and WFH policy -Monthly Bonding Events -Weekly Happy Hours -Changed Dog-friendly office to just Dog-Friendly Fridays :( I miss the pups. -It's a startup so there is still a few things to figure out like career trajectories, better goal system. -Building isn't the most secure (Not Knotch's doing) but a couple things have gone missing due building management not ensuring secure entrance/exit. -Not really a con, but I would like to see some more senior folks added to the team. -Product roadmap could be a little more defined. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 1095890 Open -Define our product roadmap -Set more structured goals so everyone can see how what they are doing is rolling up into our mission and vision. -Make the next office a space that can accommodate dogs and people who don't like dogs. -Keep on listening to employees and prioritizing them, -Keep up the good work!! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Mar 15th, 2021 07:09PM Knotch
