Knovel will invest in training their staff so that they can remain competitive. Many of the people I worked made the job more fun. There are a lot of politics within the upper management that can get unbearable from time to time. Growing industry, smart IT people, confident sales team. Knovel is a good company to work for and has great benefits. If you're looking for a springboard this would be the place to be. Knovel has since closed it's doors in San Antonio. They are an Education Company at the cutting edge of web provisioning but don't have the IT backbone. private:knovel-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=345338 Dec 17th, 2012 12:00AM Open Open Knovel Sales Representative Sales people beware 1) Knovel provides a unique and very interesting product which companies definately want, if they felt it was a must have. 2) Working in the engineering community is exciting and interesting. 3) Flexibility in working hours and locations. 4) Minimal travel as most work is done by phone and webex. 1) Constant turnover among sales group - management and reps primarily due to firings (turnover has been 100% percent every two years in the sales group). 2) Very limited prospect base and entire goal is based on obtaining new business. 3) Management is out of touch and unable to set obtainable goals. Only 2 or 3 new business salespeople have ever made goal. Over the past few years they have done a tremendous job of transforming their UI and engaging users. Sr Management expectations are often out of line with reality and their communication style can be disfunctional.
