private:koch https://www.indeed.com/cmp/molex/reviews Dec 30th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Molex Quality Inspector A Lincoln, NE USA Mixed Bag I have been working at Molex full-time for more than 8 years Pros: Good pay for entry level, non-skilled, general factory work. Benefits are decent, especially the medical insurance plan. A very clean and safe facility to work in. Even through there are many areas of improvement, the Lincoln campus is world-class in regards to both cleanliness and safety. A competitive six week paid maternity/paternity leave policy. Cons: Very weak middle management who struggle to lead their teams, set an example and shy away from dealing with personnel issues. Good supervisors, on the other hand, seem to not often be truly supported by their superiors and get funneled into the people-pleasing culture of the leadership team. Consistently poor planning, business decision making and people management skills from the top down which negatively impacts every aspect of the campus. Very shorthanded production crews who have little work/family/life balance due to mandatory overtime. Very little appreciation of or attention given to the achievements or sacrifices made by hourly workers, regardless of department or role. In contrast, salaried employees have all eyes on them and are easily recognized. Molex in Lincoln is becoming to be consistently outperformed by sister-factories in other countries. Products once produced here have been and continue to be transferred to other facilities. A work culture that that can be defined, 'why work hard when you don't have to and cash in for decades with this company?' Advice to Management: Work with and get to know those who make your salary possible. Look from the bottom up as Charles Koch would say... you might be surprised to recognize and capitalize upon many opportunities that you don't even realize. Lead by example. Learn the roles you lead. Be seen and known. Be available. Realize your most valuable asset. Celebrate successes and offer appreciation - truly and sincerely; not with just with a hamburger, served cold, outside, in 40 degree weather after a year of no sign of appreciation at all. Take the time and effort to recognize and reward those who go above and beyond, even with a simple handshake or a genuine word of gratitude. Be fair, reasonable and cognizant of your team and what's going on around you; most management I've encountered are naive of what's happening on their floor. These are very simple and fundamental things which make any company successful and should be an indicator of where Molex Lincoln is at and what's possible. 0.0 0.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 4.0 1.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 05:16PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:02PM Koch Basic Materials Chemicals

There will be times co worker watching you on every step of the way to gossiping about you or telling supervisor if you did unintentional mistake (even if you are new to the job). its a great company but The people who worked here for a long time might seem friendly but they are eyeing you in what ever you do. as for the job, it is not boring but it is not exciting either. Sometime there isnt enough tasks to do to get through the day. pay, easy break hours. schedule, policy, work culture, co workers. 0.0 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 5.0 3.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 05:16PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:03PM Koch Basic Materials Chemicals

private:koch https://www.indeed.com/cmp/molex/reviews Dec 4th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Molex Support Staff Lincoln, NE USA Management is the proverbial elephant in the room. If you’re passionate about getting humiliated in front of your peers, emotionally drained, constantly ignored, fed false hopes and empty promises, blamed for issues you had no involvement in. Step right up!! To say the management here is toxic, is a severe understatement. The training is worse than, an intoxicated driver behind the wheel. The new module manager, loves to jump to conclusions. And make judgments based solely on their emotions and assumptions, rather than the facts. The animosity between some of the departments is pathetic, to say the least. The attitude of some managers. Is that anyone off the street could do the job, with no formal training. Benefits are nice when the management lets you use them. Management treats you like you’re their personal property 0.0 0.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 05:16PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:05PM Koch Basic Materials Chemicals

Shift work requires lot of overtime, some not wanted. 12 hour shifts are long but the days off are nice. Management don't practice what they preach when it comes to the guiding principles. When conversations start with..this is a safe room, or what says here stays here, nothing good happens after that.
