Boring, terrible workplace with awful employees

What is the best part of working at the company?
Work was easy. It stayed very slow after covid so there was nothing to do. They had several shut downs before I left.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The other employees and some managers. Most of employees in plastics building on blue day shift are miserable people to be around. Most of the techs, mold setters, and production workers had terrible attitudes. They didn't want to work nor train new employees and got cranky everytime they're asked to do either. I've never been around so many miserable pieces of human garbage and wastes of existence.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible. The work itself is very easy once you know how to do it but the workers, and I use that term loosely, that have been there awhile just roll their eyes and complain when you ask for help, a question, etc.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work at the same station. Mostly just looking for stuff to do to pass time. With all the shut downs from there being no work, it's very boring because you have to stand for 12 hours and watch machines but there's so little work coming through.

Uncomfortable place to work
|
So I have been in manufacturing for a while so working at kohler wasn’t a huge change for me so I thought
You work with fiberglass that is very itchy and the smell is very strong they do not give you all the proper Ppe such as some sort of mask working there in the beginning was fine until they changed something in the material my nostrils would burn everytime I had to cut through material and I was so itchy during orientation they did not tell us how to deal with it meaning you need to take a cold shower wash your work clothes separate from other clothes keep skin moisturized at all times and etc
Working there was very hot so the summer will be difficult for everyone also the people are not the best from leadership down

Meeting new people and good benefits

This place would be a nice place if you were in a job you liked. Management does not help support you in career growth to transfer to other open positions..Takes extreme long time and usually postion is filled. Manager is the most unprofessional and lazy person i ever encountered. They complain about their own job duties and upper mangement to staff. Wanted to get out of there a couple months after starting and applied other positions but it is almost impossible to leave. Felt like a prison. Too much work for the manager to do transfer paperwork i guess or they dont want to be short staffed. Kohler itself is a good company with good benefits and has a nice picnic and christmas party but the company is too big and does not know half of what is going on . Steer away from Hospitality it is awful when it comes to management. they give bad managers too many chances to change and never happens..Pretty sad.I went here thinking kohler has to be a class act place and was excited only to be let down.
