Little to no transparency, inexperienced leaders, lack of career path, and high attrition make for an organization where you don't feel safe at all. The pay is good, but you have to ask yourself if it's worth the mental exhaustion and stress. In addition to growing, Kong has suddenly become really efficient and feels like a well-run business. Unlike a lot of other companies that are just cutting headcount to get efficient, Kong continues to invest in new headcount but has become smart about how it manages costs elsewhere, which I love. Knowing the space well, the product is best in class by far, and is only going to become more differentiated in the years to come. This will become a massive business over the next 3-5 years. I truly don't see anyone catching up. Product is great Before I joined, I was told unlimited PTO and now it’s “flexible PTO” but really it’s 20 days as stated in contract. Managers micromanage, rude and unprofessional.
