Konsus works. But only if you work on tons of projects.

• Extremely helpful staff if you're new to the company. They will help you land your first projects and until you get acclimated to their system/work flow.
• Just deliver consistent great work and more projects will come your way. No need to apply in the long run.
• Great work environment as long as you build friendship with the core team, the AM/PMs and fellow specialists.
• If you are looking for a consistent stream of projects while having the capability to work anywhere, Konsus can be the right freelance platform for you.
• They now have career paths for their specialists, which is really nice if you're a career oriented person who doesn't like job stagnancy.

• Starting base rate is only at $12 per hour regardless of (1) previous experience and (2) job to be fulfilled. Sometimes you have to work on a simple project, sometimes a highly complex project, and the base rate is still the same.
• The hours you can spend on a project is determined by the client's budget. So most of the time, to finish a project, you need to work a lot of hours for free. Even if you try to negotiate, it's still hard to really 'get paid for all the hours you've worked' as what they say.
• Project deadlines could become so overwhelming and exhausting.

Konsus have gone a long way since I joined it and I know that it's gonna get better in the future. But I have a few things:
• I think that you need to narrow down more the types of specialists you have in Konsus. The quality of the product gets better if specialists really "specialize" in, say, just one to three skills.
• The base rate of $12 is really low. Hope it could somehow be raised soon. And that it'd be more at par as per employee's experience.
• The internal platform for the staff still need lots of improvement. Hope there would be a detailed "Reports" page of how the specialists are spending hours on a project, how much s/he is earning, say, per day, per week, per month. It's really hard to keep track of our projects and our earnings with the current UI. (Upwork's Reports page for freelancers is really super organized, comprehensive and helpful. You should check it out.)
• The project page should also display more information and should be easy to navigate on. Please put a "Download All as Zip" option so it's easy to review files when applying.
• I am giving Konsus a 4/5 rating not because you are a bad company but because I believe you could improve more.
