Great place to work

It is a professional Laid back place to work. There is plenty to do and boss are not always over your shoulder checking on you. They ask from time to time if you need assistance with anything. The team members are incredibly knowledgeable and are not stingy of it. Very, very helpful team members.

There's no shortage of opportunities to learn and be exposed to new technologies here. You are expected to be adaptable and willing to take on new tasks, but there is always someone open to helping out. The people here are what sets the company apart from other places. Experienced and extremely smart, but at the same time so open to sharing their knowledge with others.
Management in my team is great. No one looking over your shoulder. Projects and tasks are assigned and then it's up to you to get your work done. The hands-off management approach makes me feel much more respected and responsible for my work.

The firm culture is made up of extremely intelligent problem solvers. I enjoy working in a community of kind and funny people. It's a calm environment, full of people that think fast and love efficiency.
I read some of the other reviews about lack of management, and I would agree that it is a culture based on personal responsibility to get your own work done. There isn't a hovering authority, which for my work style is great since I like to produce and I don't need someone worrying about how and when I get my work completed.
I also like the flexibility of being able to work remotely, it's not a rigid firm, but instead made up of reasonable people that respect work life balance.
The NYC office has an incredible terrace and I enjoy our outdoor meetings.

Lack of leadership and direction. Zero organization. Leadership are not the brightest (outside their trades). No business acumen. No direction. You need some sort of plan!! Lawyers / engineers are not a leadership team!! The company is run by a failed attorney who brought in a bunch of other failed attorneys to run a company.
