On the first day at work and you are welcome by "extremely friendly" people. You seem to like it at first, you are wrong.
"Culture fit" is always mentioned in Kraken, every single day. I trust that "culture fit" would make Kraken a "political" company.
You are surrounded with two-faces colleagues. Noone there dares to stand up and raise their voices to correct mistakes; instead, they "politely" soften the issue to avoid confrontation. They are scared to be themselves, because if they do, they would be targeted to be eliminated with the one-and-only-reason: "culture-fit".
"Your words will be against you, anytime". You share your view with sb in the company? Be careful, they would stab you on your back once they find out that you may threaten their positions.
Your boss is not trustworthy. They know who is better, but they decide to keep whom they like. You have different ideas from your boss? You will be marked "defensive", or "cannot get along with the team".
You are ambitious? You find yourself talented? Stay away from Kraken!

Kraken is definitely one of the top companies to work for in the crypto space!
At Kraken, the culture is extremely collaborative, especially for a remote organization. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to help each other out. People are extremely friendly and are a lot of fun to work with. They are also very open to differing opinions.
Additionally, the people are incredibly talented throughout the whole organization. One of the best aspects of having a globally distributed, remote company is that we can find the most talented people wherever they are.
Lastly, people are extremely principled and passionate. You can see that in how our CEO sets the tone for the company. We are outspoken and willing to do what's right, even if it is not necessarily the best short-term business decision. We are advocates for the industry, donating to crypto charities and important groups like Coin Center. We have helped out with past hacks like Mt. Gox and Quadriga.
While working from home can be great for many reasons, sometimes it would be nice to have more face-to-face interaction with coworkers.
There are opportunities for continuous improvement with standard processes and procedures given how fast the company has grown.

I am a current employee at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and have been working there for just over a year. My position is a Remote Client Engagement providing front line customer service to our clients from around the world. One of my favorite things about working here are the international connections I make with our clients as well as the many employees who work here.
When I am asked what I do for a living I enjoy telling people that I am part of the next biggest thing, I am part of a new and exciting method of finance that is growing and changing at a rapid pace. This growth and rapid change has provided a great place to learn and grow within the crypto industry. It is always satisfying to help another and after explaining how something works or why something is happening, educating them along the way.
If someone were to ask me “What do you like about what you do and who you work for?” I would tell them there is lots. I would let them know how awesome it is to work for a company that gives you the responsibility to manage your own time and make your own schedule. The flexibility is priceless when you have children and family schedules to balance. The opportunity and encouragement to continuously learn and grow from within is fully supported. The entire work environment emanates a positive vibe and that makes it one of the best companies I have worked for.

I enjoy the professionalism and culture in the company.
The team is very helpful in many ways. Even though work is remote but it could get really close to other colleagues.
There are a lot of crypto enthusiasts in the company so chances of missing any latest trends or news are very low.
Also it allows me to work anywhere so there is nothing to complain about!
