Discounted pet food, occasional free products, full support of the staff in case of any unfounded customer complaints, get to bring your pet with you to work.

They put you in danger consistently. They refuse to fire anyone even if they purposely put your life at risk and have consistently proven themselves to be a hinderance to the company. I had a man at my store let any dog into the groom room without verifying rabies and/or waivers and put me in danger consistently and management did nothing about it. I made a whopping 5 different formal complaints about this and the best they did was tell him to stop, and then he would do it again that very day. On top of this, they refuse to sharpen your equipment and insist they will only sharpen the equipment the company provides. Seems fair right? Only thing is, they don't provide the equipment. I told management multiple times that necessary equipment was not being provided and they did absolutely nothing about it.

Management is an absolute mess. Since Krisers was bought out by IPP, things have been very scattered. There is little to no organization and no proper communication between upper and lower management. Most employees I have met are unhappy with their job at Krisers stores.
Very high turnover rate.

Learned a lot about dog behavior, training, pet care, and nutrition.

Corporate take over ruined this company. I started right when the transition was happening. So many things I was told as hiring points, I never received. Also, any company that requires you to use your own dog for situations that may put them in harm as a requirement for them to be a apart of the daycare is unfair, especially for full time employees. Harassment, racism, and unsafe working conditions went unchecked my entire time working there. I'm sure the A/C is still broken. All they care about is money. No coverage for emergencies. Managers need to manage, not pick and choose situations and favorites. No growth opportunities, no options of pay increase, and very clear wage disparities among staff.
