Everyday was a little different which I liked. The communication from corporate was very clear and easy to follow. The opeartion aspects were very routine and consisant so you always knew what was expected from you on a given day. Lots of energy around driving sales and customer service. You are encouraged to spend time with customers and their pets which is always fun. Groomng is a big part of the business so you spend quite a bit of time scheduling and rescheduling clients for that which is the only part I felt was challenging at times. I had a great boss who was very supportie and easy to call at anytime I had questions. Kriser's is owned by a bigger company that is trying to make too many changes too fast to save them from going under. They are barely holding on making it so they don't put their employees first. Anything to get ahead or get a $. The groomers are favored over the regular employees, and there’s nothing but gossip about the other employees that happens in the groom room. Not all stores are like the one I worked at, I met many managers and employees that were nothing but nice, kindhearted people. However definitely look out for yourself because they will destroy your sense of work ethic and leave you not wanting to show up to a simple shift. Bring your pet to work, nice discount, and get to see new dogs all day. private:krisersnaturalpet https://www.indeed.com/cmp/kriser's-natural-pet/reviews Mar 18th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Kriser's Natural Pet Sales Associate Los Angeles, CA USA Worst company I have ever worked for Verbally abusive groomers that have management’s support, An ever changing crew within corporate, no one answers basic questions or concerns, responsibilities pushed onto people that are not receiving compensation for it, you literally never have anything in stock because they can’t figure out how to buy for us and they admit that they haven’t paid their bills, angry customers because you haven’t received their food/treats for weeks at a time, hours spent alone on the sale floors because they have a skeleton staff, forget about taking your first or second ten minute break and if you have to use the restroom you’ll have to make it quick or do it with the bathroom door open. They used to care, but since the IPP buyout, Its clear they don’t care about their employees, customers, or their dogs. Since I left I recommend friends and family shop elsewhere. They don't listen to employees, who know the stores actual issues. Working here WAS great. Really enjoyed working with my coworkers. Once ipp took over the management went way downhill and now there is no communication between corp and the staff. Low pay. Constantly changing directions from Corp. Skeleton crew. No labor hours. No overtime. Incestuous, traitorous, sociopathic, upper management. We're like any ol pet store. Some health insurance. Awesome coworkers and customers. Management is horrendous. It truly felt as though we were in it together when a complication would arise. I went on to form lifelong friendships with some of my co-workers as a result. I also had a great store manager who took everything that came at us in stride. There is a complete disconnect between the corporate upper management and the actual store. Basically if you need something you will be emailing calling leaving messages and texting until your fingers fall off. And I’ve never had a raise or review.
