Great coworkers, mentors (if you’re lucky). The trauma bonding is real and your coworkers will be your ride-or-dies. They will offer you love & support where the company/leadership will not. I’m sure the company would love to take credit for fostering this community, but they’ve just gotten really lucky to hire such wonderful and talented creatives (who will all leave before you know it).

The pay is TERRIBLE for the amount of work you will do – and the company doesn’t offer you much to value in lieu of compensation. My team had a fun (read: illegal) policy where we had to be “on call” one weekend per month and we weren’t allowed to take more than 2 days off in Q4. Unlimited PTO? Not from September 1 – Jan 15! We were also asked to participate in “surge nights” (their way of rebranding working until 8 or 9 pm for no extra pay). They were technically optional, but you would be branded as “not being a team player” Leadership constantly tried to gaslight us into believing pay and benefits were competitive. I’ve heard from former coworkers that RGG has decided to stop matching 401K contributions, so yeah… not at all true. It’s so funny that Kim Hurowitz has time to be up in these reviews, but not enough time to respond to the constant abysmal feedback HR receives.
I was silly enough to wait around thinking I would be promoted for doing the work of two people above my seniority level. I was not. Left for another job that offered me a 30% pay increase to do half of the work that I did at RGG. I am grateful to the creative mentorship I received, but I’m glad I got out as soon as I did.

Do not gaslight your employees. If you can’t afford to give raises, say that. Do not keep up this spiel about competitive compensation. Enact actual PTO (no more of this unlimited BS). Stop giving raises/bonuses to the Marks when the company is constantly in the red. Why are they being rewarded for poor job performance. And for the love of everything, improve your tech!!!

You start out in one position and you are thriving, then you are told (not asked it's not a conversation) that you are moving to a department you asked in your interview not to go to. My lead showed blatant favoritism, gaslight me and made sure it was a toxic working environment and the only person who didn't feel this way was his partners best friend who wasn't asked to move to a different department.

Organizational structure consist of only Sr Management and above, anyone below that is fully dispensable. Good luck reaching Sr. status through internal mobility..

Your organization has an influx of Directors/VP's/SVP's & does not allow room for your junior associates to be probably developed because there is no room up there its a bottleneck of higher ups with conflicting ideas and direction and no one seeks to include the ones actually doing the work in any of the decision making. You need to make room for the folks at the bottom of hierarchy, the ones who are hands-on on the work, and get rid of so many redundant roles in 'Leadership'.
