Used to be a fun place to work, Co-workers (ie NOT management) are great, free lunch program
|
Work is very stifling. Management seems to now exist to throw up roadblocks and make your tasks more difficult. Even if you explain to them that new ideas will reduce productivity they do not care and your concerns are either ignored or only listened to with no intention of taking them to heart. After bad decisions hit the floor and predictable problems occur management will then blame the employees for not working hard enough which includes forcing you to work underpaid overtime or forfeiting bonuses. It is now a _very_ frustrating place to work!

Labtech used to be a wonderful place to work. The previous reviews on this site should reflect this. Unfortunately in the last year or so there has been a huge culture shift. New management has taken over and what was once a glorious workplace has basically turned into a micro-managed call center.
Do you want to work at a call center? I certainly didn't and Labtech was heavily sold as phone support and NOT a call center. For a while this was true but now that we are basically Connectwise you can be assured this is a call center.
Expect to be micro-managed, have pointless and contradictory directives and requirements and generally a sad place to work. The morale has taken a huge hit.. walking around the office is like walking around a morgue.
If you are thinking about working here I'd think twice.. its like taking a step back to being a help desk technician with all of the pitfalls and annoyances that go with it. This includes unreachable goals and constant mandatory overtime.

When I first started working at Labtech providing a happy employee workplace seemed to be a high priority -- and it worked. I was happy and worked very hard. In the last year new management has mostly destroyed that environment making for a sad and unfriendly work place. Please take a look at the changes that were made and the negative impact it has had in both productivity and employee morale.

Management listens to what everyone needs to work smarter, and the overall office environment is fun and relaxed. Lots of great perks to the office make it a pretty awesome place to spend my work days.
