Decent Pay, Indecent work life balance

The pay is great, if you know your skills are worth a certain amount, negotiate and they’ll come back with a good offer.
They pay well for full time employees and the benefits are good.
I believe the minimum for anyone there was 55k a year and they believed in big bonuses for those meeting and exceeding expectations.
Team building experience was nice; work remote but get to meet other employees once a year for company retreat.
They also paid for your internet which many jobs won’t do anymore, unfortunately.

They offer flex schedules, but if you’re in certain departments and there’s a fire, you’re staying until it’s put out.
You may even miss your holiday since you have to work to make sure business processes are running smoothly. 8 hour days can quickly turn into 10 or 12 and 5 day work weeks can become 6.
Although I can say that at times you could have less work and work 6 hours a day, but it didn’t even out with the overtime (that you were not paid extra for so make sure to negotiate initial salary with that in mind). Always 5 days a week
Laid off most of staff (~50%) without a warning, no time to look for job or create a better savings
*Overall great place to get started in the tech industry since it’s a start up you’ll get used to long schedules of work, various experiences and skills (you will learn a lot, since you’ll be taking on many roles). They pay well and you can advance to new positions quickly. Great place for entry level positions in tech industry. Do a year or two here and then go to another company

Imagine being hired to untangle a very large ball of yarn. A ball so large it would take months to untangle. Then imagine someone standing over you asking why you aren't finished two weeks into your employment with your entire team being fired 2 months after.
