Language Course SL is a wonderful place for a junior person looking to learn hands-on skills. The people are nice and the pay relative for the work/location.

If you have had previous work experience, expect to learn about the industry but not necessarily develop in new areas.

This company cares about employees very much. Great colleagues & working atmosphere. Flexible even with hours. Working from home possible for a couple of weeks per year. Feeling connected to the product is easy; who doesn´t like to learn new languages and travel!?

You do have to be able to work in front of the computer for many hours a day plus you need to be an independent and active worker. But if that´s not an issue, you will have the best time!

- Great atmosphere and company culture! Employees support each other and everybody is encouraged to share their opinion on how the company can improve.
- Very good CEO and management team that care about their employees.
- It's easy to keep a good work-life balance
- Lots of different types of activities are offered both inside and outside the office so that each employee at least can find one type of activity that he/she wants to and can participate in (challenges at work both related to work and not, for example fussball, summer activities, christmas dinner etc).

The support tasks may at times feel one-sided and not so challenging, but there are other tasks as well to make your days more interesting and the management team tries to do their best to give you more tasks whenever possible. Furthermore, the quarterly meetings where the company's results and targets are presented help you get a bigger picture of how you are helping the company and you feel more involved.

- The office is beautiful and very well-located, with a lot of light and two balconies
- You get a lot of freedom on how to organize your work and also regular feedback
- Regular brainstorming on various topics also allows you to give ideas
- Food and drinks are available for you and management sometimes organize lunches for the team
- Extra activities such as massages, punctual groups events
- Management is very understanding when it comes to private life and will always try to find the best solution for you

As for all customer care positions, tasks can be repetitive and some customers really hard to deal with. High season means a bump in work and can be stressful.

The only Cons I can think of refers to a cultural "issue". The lunch breaks are for my personal taste a bit too long. 30 to 45 minutes is more than enough. I rather have a shorter break and go home early :) Nevertheless, I think that is a German thing.

I advice that the interns receive more guidance from the coworkers. Reading the guides leaves so many open questions. Working together and getting practical explanations is much better, saves time and is better for the integration. Maybe not always applicable due to a lack of time, but I think it is worth 30 minutes, rather than being asked every 5 minutes as the reader does not explain the task properly.

The best thing about this company are the people. The atmosphere was always friendly and relaxed. The managers had an open ear for us and every idea that came up. The size of the team is good with a great mix of nations and characters. The office is in a new building at the top floor with two balkonies, that have been nicely furnished. There is a kitchen with a good size for all employees. Eventhough it is an open space office with regular phone assistance it was very quiet. The buidling is also very central and easy to reach with public transport.

- work atmosphere (friendliest and most welcoming group that I have worked with so far)
- I was never treated as an "intern" only. My ideas were always taken into account and appreciated. Most of my proposals were not only considered but also implemented which is a huge motivational factor for me as a worker who entered the business freshly.
- the relationship between supervisor/boss and me was always professional but also familiar. They were always there when I needed them and they were open to questions of any kind.
- Supportive co-workers

During my work at Language Course SL I didn't collect many bad experiences. As you can see from the advantages above, I was quite happy. The only thing I can mention is that at times of high seasons work could be quite stressful. But dealing with that much input helped me to cope with stress better. That's why I see this as a personal improvement.
