Poor communication between management & staff Management takes no responsibility for failures and loves to finger point at inexperienced staff. Dont spread rumors or gossip about employees or problems with run failures, especially erroneous ones this is a place of business not high school.. You can receive a lot of experience in a short period of time. There is an expectation from the Senior management for all employees to routinely work a 50 to 60 hour work week. As another reviewer noted "The workload can be crushing", which negatively impacts the family or personal life. The staffing in many vital areas is low. The employee turnover is very high - approaching the 50% mark for Jan 2012 through Jan 2013. The Senior Management lacks Leadership skills. The organizational structure is very flat, and there is an appearance of favoritism or bias for individuals that have received the rare promotion. OT pay for salaried employees for weekend work lots of it) Watch your back. Everyone plays the "I did not do it" when something goes wrong and always blames someone else. Upper management has no clue what goes on in the company. Many people take advantage of the systems. Waste out the wazoo. Example: postage meter not monitored. "Free shippng for all". Company is losing money hand over fist Can't pay vendors. Most are cash in advance. No training what so ever. They sit you down in front of the computer when you start, have you read 50+ sop's and assume you understand what your job is by reading these. No OJT. Working for this company was one of the most terrible job experiences I have ever had. This company doesn’t have much ethics, and there is too much covering ups. This company goes also under the name: Laureate BioPharma 1) From day one, there is no proper training. Supervisors and managers don’t take time or responsibility to training new employee. SOPs are poorly written and not updated, and no-one can follow them because they don’t resemble current process. I am not sure how this company became GMP certified. 2) Many non-functional equipment that causes too many failures. Instead of trying to understand the root cause of the problem, a lot of finger pointers and cover ups. 3) Employees are not professional. The working environment is not very friendly and people hate sharing information. The work environment is very hostile. 4) Many operators don’t understand the process and equipment procedure. Nice non-management staff , good pay (if you what you are worth in an open market) and a great place to work if you are between jobs with no plans of career growth. Senior management and management is very poor. No one takes responibility for any of the work load and pass all their work to all low level employees and then complain about the work quality. Non-functioning equipment, that often fails and then operators are blamed for not prediciting problems may occur. Only favorties get promoted, raises and bonuses. They hire people based on "SPUNK" and not actual education or experience. Good luck getting proper training as well. There is no training program or anyone to regulate that training is ever completed. The office area is very nosy and no private. Overall just a terrible place to work. The employee turnover rate is 100% with most employees leaving under a year like myself. While working there it was a monthly occurrance that an employee would just walk off the job and never return. Also the cover-ups and lies they tell their clients baffle and shock anyone with any type of morals!
