problems for freelance interpreters getting paid even after 60 days

would not work for this company again!

Had an interpreting assignment on 06/11/20, submitted an Invoice same day. Today 06/18/20, still didn't get paid. No one to speak to except secretary who pretends she can't give any information!
Suggestion: Interpreters BEWEAR!!!

If you looking for qualified Interpreters, I suggest you need to pay your Interpreters on time. No other Agencies have 60 days from the date of invoice to pay for Interpetation services!!! Have to make numerous inquiry before getting paid!!! Terrible service!

Tight budget restrictions. Co-workers that disappear and are never to be heard from again. Managers that do nothing yet expect the world from their subordinates. Human Resources off that has a door where the CEO can listen or walk in at any time. An eggheaded, sociopathic boss who gets his rocks off manipulating and toying with employees as his once successful company implodes on itself.

The owner is a not a nice person. If you have an accent, he will tell you to learn English. He stands behind people and and yell at them. He is the epitome of what rude is. All the employees let him abuse them. You show him something and he will ask you to change it then when you change it, he will yell at you and tell you to do it the way you actually did it initially. The owner should be locked in jail for life. He is such animal.

They do not pay on time. If they give you an assignment with full time hours, your best bet is to turn it down because they will pay you 8 weeks later! In fact, your first paycheck might just be for one day's work . Everyone will give you the run around. No one seems to know what they are doing in their accounting department. They are not honest people at all. They cannot pay their external employees on time, but their internal employees get paid regularly. By law, everyone is supposed to get paid! This is America!

Good pay rate. They pay for mileage as well. Very flexible. You have 48 hour to submit your completed invoice. They are based in New York but they are very responsive with calls and e-mails.

i can't find any pros; not enough work, not enough pay.....

as with any freelance interpreter jobs, you are underpaid and you have to wait at least 8 weeks to get paid.
this company does not seem to have enough interpreting jobs period although there are generally many interpretation opportunities in NYC. maybe they are not considered a good company by clients.
as a freelancer you do not want to solely depend on this company for interpreting jobs. i have spoken with other interpreters who gets a lot more assignments than from this company.
