Self-congratulatory atmosphere & culture of paranoia
The idea of contributing to something meaningful lets you sleep better at night. Grows fast.
- Private equity ghouls make all decisions.
- Attempting to rebrand Overlays with Userway acquisition.
- Every single employee is on a mandatory PIP.
- Leadership out of touch with accessibility principles, rely heavily on rank and file SMEs, (many of which are PWD) with little accreditation.
- Anonymous questions are not permitted. If you have a contrasting opinion to share, you will be named in a town hall.
- ICs are increasingly micro-managed with AI analysis and B2B SaaS tools
- Marketing & Sales led organization sets up missed expectations with the solution

Great if you want opportunities and build your career!

Endless opportunities to try new things, wear different hats, make changes happen!

Classic pains of small company trying to operate as a large company. Not taking time to allow the company, culture, and people to stabilize and own their role to success.

Lack of Consistency and Accountability in Upper Management, focus is solely financial and not on employees wellbeing.
The direct team members are fantastic collaborators who genuinely care about their work and each other.
The upper management at this company lacks consistency and accountability. Promises are made but often not fulfilled, highlighting the importance of having everything documented, particularly when it involves HR. Trust is requested but frequently betrayed. Despite claims of lucrative contracts, financial goals are consistently missed, impacting bonus payments. The merit cycle lacks efficiency, and a clear career path is absent. Responsibilities are vaguely defined, leading to unexpected additions to workload under the guise of versatility.

Things could be done well, they choose to do them wrong
I have a job, I guess
Extremely disappointing.
Poor payments, they will pay the minimum they can.
The bonuses and incentives are a bad joke.
Regarding leadership (managers, etc.), I don't know what's worst: the ones that don't know how to do their jobs, or those who micromanage. Disgusting.
They proudly talk about being transparent but I guess they are just delirious.
I could keep going and going.

Only work here if you are a white man/American
None that I can think of right now
Senior leadership is basically all white American men; the only people who are happy in this organization are American cis, straight white men.
I've personally witnessed many women or otherwise marginalized people be talked over, cut off, gaslighted and demeaned on public and team calls.
The merger with essentialAccessibility seemed to disproportionately benefit American white men. If you weren't someone who thinks your opinions are more right than anyone else, you weren't considered for leadership.

An extremely disheartening place to work
The organization is primarily driven by its core values, which prioritize digital accessibility and support for individuals with disabilities. Most individuals within the organization demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating a positive impact in the world.
- A lack of professionalism and respectful behaviour characterizes this company's culture (if it could even be said to have one).
- Regrettably, the organization's growth in size has led to a notable deficit in empathy beyond immediate colleagues.
- The company comprises individuals who may be relatively inexperienced in their professional journeys or have not been adequately exposed to professionalism and business acumen. A notable portion of this cohort believes process adherence is optional, viewing guidelines as applicable only to others.
- Similar observations extend to the company's leadership. Many leaders prioritize personal advancement and career objectives over collective adherence to established norms and regulations.
- Despite the company's stated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, there appears to be a misalignment in prioritizing these initiatives throughout the organization. The existence of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) primarily serving as social entities fails to address the broader issues of cultural inclusivity and advancement opportunities for marginalized groups.
-This organization appears to prioritize mediocrity. Rather than striving for excellence through top-tier talent and products, they allow mediocre performance to thrive, leading to burnout and attrition among high-performing individuals.
- Their strategic focus appears to revolve around acquiring competitors rather than striving to become a leader in the industry.

Provide comprehensive management training to senior managers and ensure their adherence to established managerial principles.
Additionally, implement extensive training sessions across the organization concerning Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), explaining their significance within the company's operational framework and their implications for individuals' daily tasks and offering guidance on effectively managing and aligning efforts with these objectives.
This initiative is particularly critical for addressing a lack of comprehension regarding the rationale behind establishing and evaluating business priorities within the company's workforce.

Great company with a passion for people!
Great people with an honorable, important cause. Devoted to growth and innovation. Noteworthy customers and internal champions. Great work/life balance. Level is reshaping the market!
Evolving internal tech stack. Cloudy role clarity leading to inconsistent engagement across teams. This is indicative of a fast-growing company though.
