-New contacts in the industry
One of the proudest moments I felt as a staff at Lighthouse is when a high ranking industry professional beamed when i said i introduced myself as an employee at Lighthouse. The marketing and HR industry recognises the company as innovative and progressive, as well as one that churns out many talented folks. Lighthouse Media has clout in the industry, and as an employee your voice naturally gets heard louder, or maybe even loudest.
-Career progression
One very important factor before joining a company is career progression. At lighthouse, you can join as an intern and be handed a full-time position as long as you show initiative and ofcourse, a hard working individual.
-Supportive senior management
I read all the reviews at Glassdoor before deciding to share mine. In the two years i spent at Lighthouse, I had nothing but the utmost support from the senior management despite holding a junior ranking in the company. I was pretty fresh into the workforce, but the management always challenged me to push myself. I managed to try a little bit of everything Lighthouse Media offers. (Lighthouse Media is known for its two brilliant publication brands, driven events arm and also for its very savvy sales team). I had guidance, and i had training not because it was offered, but also because i ASKED for it.
Whining about no guidance and lack of training only means you never sat with your boss and explained your concerns. Whichever company you join, do not end up being one of those who complain and rip the company's reputation on social media/glassdoor. Rather, you should stand up and ask for what you deserve. 9/10 you will be handed opportunities for which you will always be grateful for.
-Great working culture
I can safely say i inherited another family by joining Lighthouse Media. You spend five out of seven days a week with these people and every Sunday, i look forward to seeing them again on Monday. You feel at home, and you have a family to share your stress with. AMAZING.

-Long working hours
Yes, this is true. Working hours on your contract may state 8-9 but sometimes, you just have to spend another 1-2 hours finishing up some work. That only means the company is doing well, which in return means BONUS. So yes, the cons is long working hours for some but more money in your bank account makes you happy doesn't it?

Great job selling the work culture to new staff, it certainly makes one join Lighthouse in a heartbeat. I understand some of the reviews on Glassdoor are negative. However, i strongly believe these staff did not speak up and are those hiding behind a screen. Keep up the good work , and all the best in hiring talented and loyal folks :)

Great work ethics and tight bonding between employees ensures homely work culture. There is freedom given to try out new things, learn from mistakes, and grow.
You get the opportunity to work with diverse network of people, meet clients and develop professional relations. The managers have years of experience in developing their team members, and know which areas to focus on to ensure you learn something everyday.
